Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2011 Bottle on Angs birthday. Thanks to Grant Curlow. Some roasted malt. Its a good impy stout, very roasty, great smooth mouthfeel. On a night of lots of impy stouts, this one really stood out.

My love for you is like a truck. Bottle of the 2008 bottling shared by Derek. Pours a deep oily black with a small but remarkably dense deep tan head. Beautiful. Age is apparent, with some light soy sauce notes, lots of chocolate, roast and some sweet chocolate. Medium bodied, roast and more oxidization and paper. Still a good amount of chocolate and roast, more char and roast on the finish.

2008 bottle thanks to Ben! Poured an oily black with a dark brown head that lasted throughout the beer, beautiful. Aroma was full of dark grains and roasted malts as well as a bit of dark fruit and some earthiness/whiskey. Flavor had a bit more earthiness with the dark grains and roasted malts and was complimented nicely by the dark grains in the finish.

2008 bottle. Opaque black with a tan head. Coffee and chocolate aroma. The flavor follows the aroma. A very good Imperial Stout but couldnt keep up with the Old Hickory The Event Horizon that preceded it in the tasting.

22oz bomber, 2009 edition, courtesy of a cool ebay seller, haha. Pours a gorgeous, silky black with one of the darkest mocha heads Ive ever seen that leaves thick, oily sheets of lace. Aroma is absolutely fantastic, complex as hell, with huge notes of dark chocolate cake, roasted malts, and rich molasses backed by notes of black cherry, dates, luscious red wine, and raisin bread with subtle hints of toasted coconut, oaked bourbon, and belgian waffles drizzled with maple syrup. Flavor is simply outstanding with elegant red wine notes of black cherry, plums, red grape tannins, and light oak up front backed by rich dark chocolate, toffee pralines, and espresso with hints of vanilla, bourbon, and smooth maple wood that blend seamlessly into a rich, semisweet, lightly tart finish. Palate is rich and full bodied but effortless to sip with perfect carbonation and a lingering tart, woodym yet roasted, bittersweet finish. Overall, an absolute marvel of a beer. How the hell is this not in the top 50?!

Bottle thanks to miketd. Pours a deep dark brown color with brown head. The aroma of this beer is great. Molasses, bitter chocolate, roast, brown sugar, a little bourbon, oak and vanilla. The taste is phenomenal. You get everything from the nose but you add dark fruits, maple syrup and an awesome tobacco flavor to the mix. The mouthfeel is thick. This is a killer brew and I would love to track down some more of this!

Beer shared by someone at a recent tasting. Poured into a snifter. Beer is black but brown at the edges and forms moderate and broken head of small bubbles that leaves some lacing on the glass. Overall the carbonation appears low. The aroma is mostly sweet with only a hint of alcohol. Beer is medium bodied and has a combination of chocolate and sweetness in the front half, a slight tinge of alcohol and overall a mild bitterness from chocolate and roast. Beer finishes slightly dry that accents the bitterness of the beer overall. It is very drinkable though, the bitterness does not overpower the more delicate flavors in the front, there is no real aftertaste, if it were drier I believe there would be a problem with this much bitter, but it seems well composed.
