Shared with friends this weekend. I remember saying that this one would be a good companion to a lumberjacks breakfast. So engaging in the nose, brown sugar, molassas, maraschino cherries, chocalate, bacon grease, just so out of the ord. Viscous and layers of depth to this, oily on the back. light brown clouds and a dark brown, almost black appearance, and again, I say, eggs and Bacon on the side.

Bomber, 2016 vintage, thanks Craig! Sweet dark fruit aroma with lovely notes of bourbon, tobacco, vanilla, maple and a bit of roasted malt and chocolate. Pours inky black with a thin caramel brown head that has poor retention but a little bit of lace. Starts with sweet dark fruit and maple syrup flavors with a bit of tobacco and roasted malt as well as rich, full body and slick, viscous mouthfeel. Finishes impeccably smooth wonderful bourbon, vanilla, oak and light chocolate as well. Some warming booze is present, but feels like a warm hug. Absolutely fantastic!

Bottle share. Dull pour, flat and oily, small ring of brown head. Aroma.a is harsh and wooden. Taste smoothes out a little, Dirty, earthy, peaty, a bit of alcohol warmth, bitter at the tail. Salvages itself after a questionable start.

Pitch black, fully opaque coloured body with an oily head and a very thin, half centimetre tall rich brown head. Aroma of rich roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, earth, raisins, prunes, molasses, maple, licorice and alcohol - very strong and rich, just in the aroma! Full-bodied; Super rich malty flavour with alcohol, maple, licorice, chocolate, coffee, earth, toffee caramel and a lot of complexity from pit fruits and sugars with a lot of bourbon and oaky notes noticeable. Aftertaste is insanely rich and flavourful with some strong complexities, but a relatively easy to drink and well hidden alcohol beer for the style, if that is possible at all for a double-digit beer. Overall, definitely worth sampling if you can find it, Im glad I kept mine around for a while - it surely helped round out the edges by having it age a bit. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Portland (Pearl), Oregon on 04-May-2015 for US$15,99 sampled at home in Washington on Christmas Day, 25-December-2016.

A very good desserty stout. Pours a super thick black with a red-brown head. Smells of bourbon and maple syrup. Taste is like a dessert, with vanilla ice cream up front, followed by bourbon, and then a heap of maple syrup and molasses in the finish. Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle poured, to celebrate Bengals 2016 touchdown #3. 1 year of age on this bottle. Gio. Pours midnight black with no head to speak of. Huge Bourbon aroma with a maple constant. Flavor is a rich chocolate, strong oak, maple, and potent bourbon. Has a slight doughy element. Slightly smokey. Overall a fun imperial, but not too memorable.

Aromas of dark chocolate, toffee, raisins, plums, figs, dark fruits, cherries, aged malts, oak, and barrel wood. Pours black with a very thin foam and intense alcohol legs. Taste brings harsh charred malts, campfire ash, dark bitter chocolate, cacao nibs, aged dark malts, oak, maple syrup, slick malt syrup, slick molasses, caramel, nougat and leather. Finishes intensely boozy with massive bourbon and oak. Overall, a very complex and dark with tons of flavors. Very heavy on the booze.
