Dark brown coloured body with a bit of lighter brown near the bottom and fairly clear when held up to a light, all with a thin, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, earth, peat and a hint of caramel. Light-bodied; Nice roasty flavour with some cream, nuts and earth all noticeable right away. Aftertaste shows a bit of toffee and sweetness, but the light malt and a hint of metal also fills out the taste. Overall, not the greatest beer, but very respectable for the style and something relatively interesting from a lighter style of beer. I sampled this pint on draught at the brewpub in Anchorage, Alaska on 25-June-2011. AmEricanbrew (7011) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - NOV 1, 2011

On tap @ brewery. Are we calling this a schwarzbier or a cream ale? Interesting mashup! Black pour with off white head. Aroma is lightly nutty on roast malts. Flavors match a schwarz but with a smooth a creamy texture and easy drinking finish. I dig it! savnac (2656) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - MAY 26, 2011
On tap @ MSBC. Dark brown with a small light tan head. Aroma is light molasses and some faint spicy hops. Flavor is molasses and burnt sugar with just a touch of bitterness. Light body with average carbonation and a dry, clean mouth feel. Interesting beer, pretty light so the molasses flavor really takes center stage.
