3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
In short: A sweet and fruity Belgian blonde ale like some many others. Just ok.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed approximately 6 to 8 months after purchase. Bottle sent to me by after4ever, thanks a lot Tom
The look: Cloudy blonde body topped by a medium white head
In long: Nose has the usual suspects of a Belgian blonde ale (fruity esters of bananas, pineapples and others) but also a noticeable soapy component. Taste is mostly sweet and fruity, sugary apples, sugary bananas, sugary other fruits. Plenty of crisp pale and crystal malts. There is also a strong citric/lemony component that is actually quite fitting to lighten up this otherwise overly sweet beer. Overall it is ok, I was able to drink the bomber but this not something I need to drink again. I don’t know what a Fallen Angel is supposed to be, because thank God I don’t believe in spiritual beings.
Great Belgian ale, 8.0%. Had with Tanguy at Seward Brewing Company in Alaska.

Draft. Hazy amber color, medium white head. Aroma of rising bread dough, floral hay. Taste is bready peppery straw. Very tasty. kespecial (254) - - SEP 21, 2015
A delicious Duvel homage, finely carbonated, boozy, a touch sweet, chased with a delicate floral yeast character. Lovely, fresh, delicate. Though I remain fonder of the original.

Fruity zesty aroma of fruit like peaches and plum and bubble gummy yeast. Flavor similar with a touch of bread and heat. Pretty nice, if overpriced. MrTipple (5378) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2015

22 Oz bottle pour. Pours a light cloudy golden color with a quick fade head. Soft, sweet lemon citrus aroma with a yeast presence. Love the bottle art by the way. Smooth easy drinking lemon like flavor with a hiding belgian yeast background. Long, cool finish. Delicious beer.
