"that’s more like it. 8 months old! compared to five for the hop dog, but somehow smelled and tasted waaaaaay fresher. 100 ibus and a sweet fruit yeastiness greet the nose and palate. dry bittersweet lingering finish. well done, but still more $ than comparable beers in the style." travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 26, 2014
Backlogged rating thanks to some kind and generous soul. The smell is hops, bubblegum, pine, and fruits. The look is clear, golden in color, with a white head. The taste is some bitterness, hops, fruits, pine, and bubblegum. OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 23, 2013
0.65L bottle, kindly shared by GrOve. Fluffy lacing white head. Gold colored body. Aroma of Belgo yeast, in a nice mix with fruity and minty hops Notes of peppery caramel and spices. Dry, tropical fruity flavor. Quite herbal with hints of flowers and mild peppers. Smooth in the mouth. Dry, balanced finish. Nice all over. A special one. Small offwhite head. Hazy amber body with light carbonation. Funky fruity caramel aroma with herbal notes. Dry-sweet funky orangey sugary taste with mealy spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish funky dried fruit aftertaste with honey and dandelion notes. Lovely, interesting, drinkable, different. Almost want to try anything this brewer puts on the shelves, and this seems like an interesting one. Light golden pour with a big, sticky, durable white head. Looks great. Aroma is malt with major Belgian pale ale notes. Flavor is really hard to pin down because it’s so different. Surprisingly dry initially, with a big Belgian pale influence, yet without the Belgian yeast spice that I normally get, which makes this much drier and less interesting than expected. Lemon flavor notes come through. Finish is really when this beer comes to life with a big bitterness kick at the end that sticks to the palate. Not really sure what to make of this. It seems confused, and I don’t really think this works well. Only the aroma and appearance save this . Brewer chose the name of this beer for a reason. Once is enough.

Pleasant hybrid, the Belgian charater rules, but the hops fill in the blanks to make a wonderful beer. Layer upon layer. Peaches, hay, herbs. JRomaniszak (1) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 7, 2013 does not count
Extremely pleased with the secret sweetness that pops up behind the hops.

This bottled brew from a rating party poured a head of all foam fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated slightly hazy yellow colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The aroma was mild hop and lagerish. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The thick flavor contained notes of hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again. Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Created a lovely topping of white foam head while the liquid was a hazy golden color. As for the aroma, there is a spicy blend of Belgian yeast and a hint of vinegar in the background. The flavor is spicy with a heavy citrus taste as well as grainy wheat malt. There is however, a strange after taste of leeks, but other than that this beer is an interesting recipe. FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 7, 2012
From the 4/2012 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy apricot color with a large foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was pineapple, grapefruit and Sweettart candies. The flavor was sweet pineapple and grapefruit with notes of sugar, yeast, apricot, peach pits and chalk. The finish was long with tangy peach pits, apricot, pineapple and chalk. Full bodied. Very nice.
