Sampled at an esbls tasting. From Shep. Hazy golden. Nice fruit, yeast, and hop profile. Tasty fruit is complex. It has a nice bite to it. Pineapple and grapefruit in the finish. Fairly big bitterness. Good stuff. beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - JAN 30, 2012
22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear brilliant gold initially with a moderate white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Subsequent pours are cloudy due to sediment. Pleasant aroma of grapefruit and piney along with some spicy Belgian yeast. The flavor is malt and honey followed quickly by some grapefruit, pine and spicy Belgian yeast. Moderate bitterness at the finish. Solid. pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - DEC 29, 2011
22 oz bottle courtesy of UncleJedi from TBS Secret Santa - thanks! Pours a cloudy golden-yellow with a frothy white head that clings to the glass. Smell has a piney, citrus fruity smell to it. Almost a little bit of lavender in the taste as well. Some spice, but not overpowering. Ungstrup (37558) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 24, 2011
Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of lemons, hops, and straw, as well as lighter notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, lemons, and hay, leading to a dry and bitter finish. alexsdad06 (10378) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 15, 2011
22 oz. bottle from wavers1. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium plus sized white head. The aroma has moderately sweet pale malts with an abundance of citrus and pine hops. There are additional notes of spices with a Belgian flair. The flavor is a battle between the malt and hops, with the hops winning in the end. Resiny and citrus hops throughout with some balancing bready and pale malt. Again, mild spice note with a hint of earthy bitterness. A solid drinkable beer from the land of the Midnight Sun.

Taste is full of citrus hop bitterness and fruity yeast, light sweetness. Palate is clean, oily texture, bitter finish. Nice. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - OCT 6, 2011
Fresh 22 oz bottle. Hazy amber/orange with a long lasting, dense white head. Aroma of pine, cat pee, grapefruit and a spicy Belgian yeast scent. Flavor is a pretty nice balance of bitter hops, caramel malt and tart, earthy yeast with the bitterness lingering towards the end. Medium body with average carbonation and a fairly dry mouth feel. Nice hybrid beer the hops and yeast characters blend pretty well together but gets a bit much after a full glass. thorongil2 (3072) - , Ontario, CANADA - SEP 13, 2011
