Medium brown. No head. Quite orangey on the nose. Fruity, very citrusy with lots of hops. Good complexity in the slightly toasty malts. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 14, 2012
Thanks Matt! Dark pour, cream head. Aroma of chocolate, darker fruits, orange, caramel. Flavor is hoppy but malty, citrus and hint of cocoa. Man this is good. crosamich (433) - Twin Falls, Idaho, USA - MAR 13, 2012
Dark chocolate and cookies. Moderate body, roasty, malty and balanced hop citrus. Tasty! 50belair (3643) - Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2012
Bottle shared at the pre-Huny tasting. Dark brown pour with an off white head. Aromas of caramel and hops. The taste follows suit with caramel, sweet malt, and bitter hop notes. Medium body with good balance and carbonation. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 12, 2012
Bottle shared by Daknole. Deep lovely copper. Curaçao, then, orange peel then mango hops at end of nose...Smells burlier than it feels and tastes. So smooth! This is great! Seems like a barley wine but it’s so much more than that. Is balanced to the supreme. The hop character is awesome, tropical fruit but how on earth is it not chewy?? Amazing!

On tap @ MSBC. Deep brown with a creamy head that leaves lots of lacing. Light aroma of cocoa, coffee with some citrus and pine. Flavor is rich toasty malt, chocolate and a medium to high hop bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation and a dry, bitter finish. Nice beer, drinks more like a 5-6% abv beer.
