COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Intriguing doses of sweet spices, cocoa nibs and pumpkin transform an exceptional porter into a mesmerizing potion. Pour this tantalizing brew into a snifter and experience its many eccentric nuances, which will delight your taste buds.

This is the same award-winning recipe that garnered a GOLD MEDAL at GABF in 2007. Formerly known simply as Imperial Chocolate Pumpkin Porter, we’ve named it T.R.E.A.T.: The Royal Eccentric Ale Treatment.

TREAT melds rich decadent flavors into an enticing brew that is perfect for pairing with both sweet and savory dishes. Add depth to desserts like pumpkin cheesecake, bread pudding and tiramisu. Reduce this porter down then glaze grilled meats. Mix Moroccan spices with TREAT to marinate lamb shanks before slow-roasting. The options are endless. But the most important step is pouring yourself a lovely glass of TREAT to enjoy with the rewarding results of your efforts.

With so many tones and textures to experience, will you find this brew… Demented…or delightful?

Bottle sent from 12many and shared with several people.
I’ve been waiting a long time to give this one a shot and it did not disappoint. It’s very complex, with enough pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices to add to the depth without eclipsing the other traditional porter flavors. Hands down crushes any other "pumpkin" beer. I would drink this on a regular basis, regardless of season, if it were easily available. Good stuff that I’m glad to have tried.

Deep and rich flavors and all there. Even after holding on to this for probably a year too long. Cinnamon spice pumpkin and rich chocolate. All melding together in good balance and complementary amounts. No single flavor overpowering. Like a good chef is want to do with a complex dish.

Bottle shared at Ratebeer awards show. 30/01/2016. .Many thanks! A viscous dark black coloured pour with reddy hues and no head to speak of. Aroma is sweet malt, nutmeg, cakey malts, nutty. Flavour is composed of Stolen, cakey malts, hint of Jamaican spices, cakey, hints of rum barrel. Palate is medium full bodied , highish carbonation, sticky sweet. Good.

dark brown red pour. Aroma spice, molasses. Tastes almost so spicy it’s minty cinnamon, wintergreen tastes of char. vegetal pumpkin is there. Chocolate is really subtle - a sorta raw charred mexican chocolate thing. Vanilla. Wasn’t a big fan of the palate. A little sludgy with a bit of spritz. still excellent with superb balance between all the elements yet powerful.

Bomber from city beer in SF. Aroma is filled with licorice, cinnamon and candied sugar. Flavor is super complex. Dark chocolate. Anise. Roasted pecan. High abv is not too obvious. Only thing lacking is pumpkin. Other than that an amazing beer!

Bomber. Spicy aroma of clove, nutmeg and cinnamon with notes of chocolate and pumpkin. Pours dark brown with one finger of light brown head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with sweet pumpkin and chocolate flavors with the cacao adding a bit of bitterness as well. Finishes smooth and a bit dry with a lot of nutmeg, clove and cinnamon spicy flavors that linger on the palate. Nice pumpkin porter.
