Nice and thick one here shared with McTapps. High drinkability, high gravity and lots of fruity + dark aromas. Berries, plums, some malt and alcohol. Reminding me of a high alcohol fruit syrup = special but fine.

Bottle from trade with Meilby - thank you, Kenni. The beer has got a deep dark brown colour with an steady head and medium to smooth body. Wonderful aroma of intense barley, plums and warm bread. Taste of barley, malt, wine, sherry, chocolate, plums, prunes and vanilla. Hints of rum and oak. Very warming, quaffable and tasty beer. Loved it.

Clear dark amber brew with a small off-white head that lasts long. Aroma is malty, with some presence of ripe fruits, some oak as well and some slight alcohol. Hoppy notes as well. Realy nice nose. Taste is syrupy sweet with a clear touch of its aroma. Pretty autumn-like if you ask me with clear notes of the fruits and the hops. Some caramel, raisins, honey, oak as well with a nice grassy bitterish and warming end which has some dryish notes in it, despite being largely sweet. Truly an interesting aspect of this enjoyable, tasty rich brew. Full bodied, mouthfeel is pretty sticky and syrupy. Carbonation is quite low. Beautiful deep, well-balanced brew that is tasty in every way. Good sipper for the darker days of the year. Has some great ageing potential as well, which I will definitely do with a next bottle.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2016 British tasting @ Haket Pub / Bottle. Golden with no head. Fruity and yeasty tones. Fruit, malt, alcohol and sweetness. Full body with a sweet finish.

brown color, strong dark fruit aromas. sweet taste with a full nuttiness. not my favorite style nor beer.

dambor (792) - Berlin, GERMANY - NOV 19, 2014
Pours dark orange with almost no head. Aroma: hopps, heavy malt aroma, "fruit with sugar", a touch of spices. Taste: pretty complex and heavy, with some taste of honey, caramel, strong malt character, hops, a bif of liquorish aftertaste. Pretty sweet, but at the same time not outbalanced. A very good barley wine.

McWorta (1633) - LUXEMBOURG - NOV 16, 2014
Deep ornge honey coloure beer with a soft dark white head. On the nose aromas of butterscotch, toffee, wet grass-hay and faintly resin-wood-herbal notes arise. The texture is rather softly with a full body. Sweet butterscotch flavour with hints of herbal notes. The finish is lasting with a pleasant linger of herbal-butterscotch. Nice and goes well with Gorgonzola.

Bottle: Almost clear, chestnut-amber coloured, slowly collapsing off-White creamy head; mild to moderate raisiny and nutty nose, a small amout of toasted malt detectable; moderate to solid sweet sugary flavour, barely full bodied, quite soft; lingering sweet vinous and boozy finish with a slight tartness in the very end. Sweet and monotonous...

ruigo (3088) - PORTUGAL - OCT 9, 2014
50cl bottle. Clear reddish amber colour with a small off-white head. Raisin, plums and caramel in the aroma. Average to soft carbonation and medium body. Taste is too sweet, with some liquorice notes. Overall, a fulsome sweet beer than can turn into something boring.

SuperTiti33 (893) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 5, 2014
