Aroma of sweet malts, caramel, fudge, raisins, ripe fruits, barley sugar. This Barley Wine is caramel fudge beer incarnate. Flavour is heavy sweetness, loads of caramel and caramelized sugar. Admirable, especially the aroma, but a bit too sweet and sticky for my taste. Inbreak (5883) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - APR 24, 2014

Small bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, caramel malts, raisins, sugar, toffee, citrus, grapes, almond cake, hints of butterscotch. Taste is sweet, caramel malts, sugar, "knekk", hay, butterscotch, grass, almond cake, oak. Medium bitterness, sweet mouthfeel. Fair enough.
Pours a coppery colored with a small head. Aroma of oxidised caramels. Sweet with dark fruits. Taste is sweet malts and liquified dates. A very faint metallic hint, probably due to the oxidation. Full bodied with soft co2. KennethArd (570) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 23, 2014
Malt sweet aroma with notes of oak & fudge. Clear red with lasting medium head. Vinous malt sweet taste. Medium body, oily texture & soft carbonation. mcberko (17809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 18, 2014
500mL bottle, pours an opaque dark amber / mahogany with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel malts, vegetal notes, and dark fruits. Flavour brings out caramel malt, toffee, and residual sugars. Very well-balanced, without too much residual sugars. Decent stuff.

Rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, dunkle überreife Früchte, holzig. Geschmack malzig süß, leicht alkoholisch, trockene überreife Früchte, holzig. Bamsen78 (5398) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - APR 9, 2014
Bottle. Pours slightly hazy darkish amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit, malt, yeast and caramel. Booze in the long nose. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, with fruity and estery touches and pronounced, bitter alcohol notes. Bittersweet aftertaste with mild hints of metal. An OK Barley Wine, but I have tasted better beers of this style. czar (9056) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - APR 7, 2014
(small gusher) pours hazy medium dark golden, red tint, with a small off-white cap, some retention and lacing. intense barley sugar, toffee and caramel, very fruity - sweet brandied fruits, calvados, grass, pepper, chalk, hint of garbage notes. warming alcohol. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily and sticky, mild minty-grassy-peppery finish. sweet if not cloying offering. unbalanced but still a nice sipper. martin00sr (4032) - Haderslev, DENMARK - APR 4, 2014
Dark copper, small offwhite head. Sweet, jammy aroma. Malty caramel, raisins, spicy and a dark kind of bitterness. Toffee and alcohol. A little sticky, a bit too sweet. BeerGolem (828) - Quebec, CANADA - MAR 27, 2014
Bottle. Pours caramel brown with beige head and some lacing. Aroma is all about barley and caramel. Same for the taste, which goes along some hints of hops. Sweetness is well balanced. Alcohol well hidden despite ABV. Thick mouthfeel. Some warming alcohol. Excellent BW!
