23.10.2011. 0,5l Bottle. Dark amber brown colour with a thin layered off-white head. Aroma is rich malty with lots of malty flavours, caramel and roasted sweetness. This beer has a wonderful smell. Very good flavours of caramel malt. Very sweet with strong notes of alcohol. Low on bitterness. There is some nice, very soft tones of flowers and aroma hops at the back of this beer. Conclusion: Sweet caramel and very good. SuperTiti33 (891) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 5, 2014

[Sampled with the duo Svoger & Svogergylp at DØE, Valby, 2009.] Barleywine for everybody. In my eyes many barleywines are too much challenging or just not good enough, although I like the style. Thisone is great with mellow mouthfeel and a very wellbalanced mix of flavors. Notes of warming alcohol. dried fruits, caramel, positive bitterness, port, fullfillness. All very welldone. My next speech will be with thisone! konstifik (573) - SWEDEN - FEB 19, 2011
Deep honey color with a tiny head. This is all raw honey! The aroma is pretty much nothing else and you’d think you were smelling a honey jar if you were blindfolded. Not so overwhelming in the taste but still has a huge presence, along with some fruits and caramel. I quite like it!

Beautiful deep amber, lively carbonation, fine head. Dark fruit, wood and vinous aroma.
Lovely flavour, too. Prunes, port, nuts and oak. Sweet and dry. LoFi (1718) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 5, 2011

Small vast yellow ish head, that disappears very slow.
Very hazy amber/orange colored beer.
Smell fruit, orange, malts, caramel, light toasted malts, barleys. Smells good.
Taste is even better: sticky barleys, sticky malts, some sweets like caramel, some light brown sugars, herbs, light bitter and the slightest hint of honey.
Nice (sticky) barley/malty light bitter/herby aftertaste.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, full body and an oily sticky thick creamy texture.
Delicious beer, well balanced and smooth. schoppebraeu (3) - Berlin, Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 1, 2013 does not count

Bottle. Pours caramel brown with beige head and some lacing. Aroma is all about barley and caramel. Same for the taste, which goes along some hints of hops. Sweetness is well balanced. Alcohol well hidden despite ABV. Thick mouthfeel. Some warming alcohol. Excellent BW!
