Botella en casa. Black colour, light brown creamish head. Aroma: roasted malt and chocolate with liqourice and coffee. Good moouthfeel, bit thin. Roasted malt and chocolate in the flavour along with liqourice, coffee and some dark fruit. Needs more volume to be a real satisfying Imp. Porter. banii (240) - Sola, NORWAY - FEB 22, 2011
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2012 500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet, Trondheim. Pours black with a thick light brown foam that looks fantastic. Some smoke in the smell. Tastes very good, with a dry and ashy finish. Love the bitterness. My favourite Porter so far. phredrik (1024) - Copenhagen (formerly Aalborg), DENMARK - FEB 20, 2011
Pours pitch black with a small brown head and some good lacing. Aroma is very hoppy. Pine and hints of citrus. Hard roasted malts along with the hops. Sweet liquorice, black currant sweetness, notes of coffee and roasted cocoa. Taste is at first mostly on the malts with coffee, cocoa, liquorice, nice bready and toasted caramel sweetness and a bit of smoke in the back. The hops really kick in in the end and the after taste. Relatively high bitterness due to the hops, but it balances really well with the sweet and roasted malts. Really nice. Geokkjer (7627) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 19, 2011
Bottle.Pours black with a small beige head.Aroma of caramel, chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and licorice.Flavor is sweet with some caramel, coffee and chocolate.Medium body, average carbonation.Nice stout. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 19, 2011
Bottle. A black beer topped by a finger-thick, dense, light tan head that stays. Licorice, chocolate and some coffee on the nose. Silghtly meaty. Some hops, but the malty aromas dominates. Not much evidence of the alcohol. It’s a bit thin on the palate, pleasant carbonation. The flavor is on the dark side, chocolate, licorice and a touch of coffee. Low on hoppy bitterness and alcohol. Long finish with licorice and roasted malts. A nice beer that doesn’t go the whole hogg. It’s tasteful but a bit thin, and sort of one-dimensional. 110219

Black with a dark brown head. Aroma is sweet, heavy roasted malt, burnt and hoppy. Flavor is rather sweet and rather hoppy. Bitter, dry and roasted finish. Soft and smooth. Very good. This got my vote in round two of the 2010 DØE new Danish beer of the year. 141010 Kriegbaum (845) - Randers, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2011
