, Oslo. Tall coarse choco head. Pitch black body. Fat malt aroma. Roast, dark rye bread and dark dried fruits with an acidic twist. Lots of licorice, too. Full malt flavor, rich with a refined sweetness. Roast again, tones of tar, and lots of licorice. Noters of cocoa and dark fruits. Juicy in the mouth. Tasty, powerfull and complex. A treat.

Deep ruby brown colour, close to black, with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, some toffee, mild ashes, roasted malts, some smoked wet wood as well as some liquorice. Flavour is being qquite much the same, but the liquorice is being much more evident.
(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 9 Oct 2010) Black colour with frothy, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of dark chocolate, liquorice, strong black coffee and dark rye bread. Roasted, malty taste with liquorice, dark chocolate, black coffee and a generous cocoa bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a gentle sweetness lingering throughout.
