COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: The Double IPA is an American inspired, dark amber beer with a beautiful light coloured head. The brewer has chosen to dry hop this IPA which adds to the full and complex hop profile of Cascade, Chinook and Centennial. The IPA has a very full body, with a soft yet strong flavour and a very bitter finish - the result has to be experienced. Goes with spicy dishes, but is best enjoyed on its own.

Bottle from „Csakajósör”-store, Bp. Clear amber coloured ale with a nice off-white, creamy and laceing head on its top. The brews nose is of flowers and fruits. The start is lightly sharp, mouthfeel is slick, flavour is of grapefruit and orange. The middle part brings citrus, flowers and malt along, the finish is a bit spicy, citric and at last alcoholy (that warms up) and remain long in a citrus and spicy aftertaste. Full bodied and slick textured stuff, overall a nicely balanced and well enjoyable one.

Bottle. Pours reddish amber colored with a nice lasting off white head. Aromas of caramel, grain, sugar and hops. Sweet and malty flavor with some bitter hops. More malty than hoppy. Would be a decent barley wine.. Tasty brew though..

Poured murky brown with an off-white lacing head. Delicious aroma of honey, citrus, toffee, a bit fruity, and of course tons of hops. Sweet taste with strong hoppy bitterness, high in carbonation and strong in alcohol. Overall, this one was a very nice one.

0,5 l from Cracked Kettle courtesy of Balazs, thanks!
Deep amber body with small and quickly vanishing-lacing tan head. Fruity, resiny hops with citrussy tones, honeyish-spicey character in the nose. Compact. Wild berries, cherry, vanilla and toffee comes at first in the flavor, after comes a resiny bitter finish, but not too much. Very well balanced, creamy palate, fine hoppy aftertaste. Yumm.

Cheesey aroma, milky mid-palate, but mostly pine heavy with something odd/interesting. Better as it warms; smooth, low bitterness (well balanced). (on tap at De Molen)

Tasted 2010-06-08. Pours semi hazy, orange/brown with beige head. Aroma: Sweet, with pineapples, toffee, alcohol and lotsa hops. Powerful, but pleasant, bitterness in the taste. Well balanced. Nice sweetness. Explosive taste. A very good, big beer.
