(bottle) Cloudy, reddish amber colour with a short off-white foamy head. Moderately sweet and sightly toasted malty aroma with a touch of licorice and flowery, slightly piney and citrus-fruity hops. Sweet and moderately bitter flavour, full bodied with a medium carbonation. Solid malty, slightly toasted body with notes of caramel, licorice and a fruity and flowery hoppy accent, lingering into the moderately bitter finish with a well-rounded malty sweetness and delicate alcoholic notes (15.II.09). Quite heavy DIPA with almost every possible aspects of aroma and taste. It’s a beauty, but you don’t drink that many. Nice clear amber color with a not that white head as expected. Very decent and a beer to try before you die.

(50cl bottle, BB 13-12-2009) Pours a cloudy amber-brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, toasted bread, cherry, caramel, grass, and citrus. Flavor of rich malts (caramel, toasted) and mild hops (citrus, grass, light pine). mjs (7512) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 27, 2008
(Bottle at One Pint, Helsinki, at the end of 2007) Stong pleasant hoppy flavour and aroma. Decently strong bodied beer. Its colour is amber and the beer is clear. Quite good double IPA. aru (105) - Smørum, DENMARK - DEC 26, 2008
Umm I like this. Amber color with large light brown head. The aroma i heavy with citrus and a faint touch of nuts. The taste is dominated with cascade and chinook adding to the citrus and giving a long lasting heavy taste. Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - DEC 16, 2008
Bottled 50cl. Appearance. It pours a hazy deep peach colored beer with a small light beige head. Not much lacework. Aroma. Pine needles, licorice, homemade caramel, sorbet, old cigarette smoke, grapefruit, pineapple and nasturcium. Flavor and palate. A lot of grapefruit, homemade caramel, pine needles and licorice in the taste. Rather salty. Nice hop profile. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Nicely balanced. Peppery. Reminiscent licorice, grapefruit and nasturcium in the finish which is salty and very dry. Overall impression. I enjoyed this beer s flavor much more than its aroma. Thanks a lot bov for this beer. ilovedarkbeer (2744) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - DEC 13, 2008
