Black IPA Cascadian IPA, all names but this is a very nice blend of darkness malty coffeish ale, I agree with some that more hops would suit this but then, brew it your self. Meilby (11495) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 31, 2012

Pours deep brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, chocolate, citrus and grape. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long caramel, fruity and bitter finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
50 cl bottle in Grebbestad. Dark brown clear beer with a big beige head. Malty, dark dried fruits, chocolate, brown sugar aroma. Simliar flavour. Really a nice beer :-) Tsk_man (16) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 11, 2012

Strong Black American IPA. Pours very dark with a rich off-white head. Smells of burned coffee. Complex taste with dark roasted coffee and raisins dominant. I also get a hint of vanilla. Would perhaps have liked it to be a little more hops in the taste. It’s an IPA after all.
Bottle. Clear dark brown beer with a quite nice beige head. Chocolate aroma, milky, hoppy, pine needles, grapes, pineapple, cocoa powder, toffee, vanilla, figs, apricot and grapefruit notes. Hoppy chocolate flavor, vanilla, toffee, grapes, cocoa powder, roasted, metal, caramel, grassy herbal notes, apples. Very interesting with the porter taking more space than the IPA, and I like that. Chocolate finish with vanilla, perfume, pineapple and grapes. Hats off!

50 cl bottle.
Black with some red hints when held towards the light. Big, off white head that lasts, leaving lacings on the glass.
Nice aroma, first and foremost from the hops; resiny with some herbs and/or spices. The malt is giving some roasty notes of coffee and dark chocolate.
Nice, bitter taste, eventually giving way to the sweetness and the roastiness of the malt.
The bitterness dominates the aftertaste, but the sweetness is putting on a fight, ensuring the finish to last for quite a bit. Nice. Furseth (2162) - Kungälv, SWEDEN - JUL 11, 2012

24.06.2012. 0,5l Bottle. Vinmonopolet Haugesund. Dark brown colour with off-white head. Aroma of dark malts and alcohol. Strong beer with rather rich body. Dry bitteraftertaste with flavours of alcohol. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - JUN 22, 2012
deep deep brown&amber, but not entirely black, with a solid inch of tan head.
Nose is full of pine and caramel, but i also detect some butterscotch.
Taste is piney and rather mellow, also with a hint of the butterscotch. Well balanced but with a distinct bitter finish. The roastyness i usually expect from a black IPA is very well hidden.
Medium to full bodied and softly carbonated.
