Bottled. A chestnut brown beer with a huge creamy brown head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, chocolate, and some roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, nuts, bread, roasted malt, and hops lending it notes of spices and citrus fruits, leading to a bitter finish. Sample 15 cl. Clear and matte black color with a large off-white head of good duration. Moderately malty aroma and strong hoppy with bright notes of citrus and grapefruit. The taste is sweet of the roasted / toasted malt and hops, which lead to a dry and a bitter taste. Long aftertaste with lovely notes of licorice charlotte (5461) - rødovre, DENMARK - JAN 20, 2012

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival. Dark amber body with a thin beige head. Aroma is fruity, yeast and chewing gum, not in a bad way – rather nice. Flavor is sweet malty, slightly roasted, hint of chocolate, fruity and decent bitter. Fine body, hoppy aftertaste. A nice and flavorful beer. humlelala (1375) - DENMARK - NOV 4, 2011
(50 cl bottle from Vinens Verden; BBD: May 11th 2013) Pours black with rich, tan head. Good retention and lace. Aroma is herbal hoppy with notes of roasted barley, sour cream and licorice. Creamy on the palate, softly carbonated, medium-bodied with a bitter and smooth, alcoholic finish.Taste is dark and roasted with a mild bitterness. Girlfriend says: "Too strong for what it is." yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 27, 2011
On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A creamy, two-finger thick beige head sits on top of a black body. Beauty of the day so far, that’s for sure. And the aroma and flavor turned out to be among the best they too. There’s piney hops, a light roasted touch, citrus peel and I can sense some alcohol as well in the nose. The flavor has a licorice accent, introducing roasted malts, piney hops, some alcohol and coffee. Could maybe use a bit more bitterness I think, but a nice one anyway. Full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate. Overall, a bit on the sweet side, but very nice anyway. 110527 jesperhammer (5017) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 14, 2011
14-OCT-2011, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer".
Almost black with lasting low beige head.
Nose is roasted malty sweet with mostly coffee and then the hops adds grape fruit and a touch of pine.
Taste is coffee, licorice, grape fruit, dark fruits, pine and nuts.
Perhaps a bit below medium carbonation, a bit above medium mouthfeel, and a long roasted and bitter aftertaste. Lovely. Adenila (1560) - DENMARK - SEP 29, 2011
I’ve really come to love this style. Hazy blackish with a light brown head. Big american hop aroma along with toasted malt notes. Complex bitter flavor, roasted and hoppy without much sweetness. Great
