Dark brown, almost black. Malt and anise/liquorice nose. Quite spicy aroma, with (too much) anise. Malt, coffee and chocolate as well. Feels salty because of the anise. Not that pleasant.

Stockholm Beer 2012: Ganska stor och kryddig doft. Smaken är lite mer balanserad men den blir kanske lite väl i sötaste laget.

Sample at SBWF 2012. Black with a small tan head. A lot of spices both in the aroma and taste. Licorice, malt, fruit, some notes of ash, fennel. Rather cool and interesting.

Bottle. Dark brown body, lighter brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, berries and cinnamon. Taste of coffee, chocolate and more christmas spices (clove?), with yeast and nuts. A good take. Good body and balance, lasting herbal finish.

Very dark brown beer. Milky sweet malt nose. Slightly soft palate. Flavour follows the nose with milky sweet malt. Finishes dry with just a hint of toastiness in the finish. Nice.
