Smells like expensive chocolate, appears black, with a firm tan head. Tastes bitter-sweet, I get coffee and chocolate. A nice long slightly bitter finish.
Simply one of the best stouts I have had - not much christmas about it though.

Bottled (BBE 07/2008). Pitch black colour, small brown foamy head. Aroma is liquorice, coffee, roasted malts, smoked wood and also toffee and nuts. Mild spices as well. Flavour is nuts, smoked wood, peat, roasted malts, some herbal notes and old coffee. Big nutty peak in the finish. Long smoked wooden and ashy aftertaste along with mild chocolateish hints. yespr (46568) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 9, 2007
From tap at Ølbaren. Pours black with a diminished dense chocolate brown head. Thick chocolate, roasted malt and a slight note of liqourice in the aroma. Viscous mouthfeel and full bodied. Flavour starts with a mild and soft chocolate feel before it decends into roasted coffee notes and goes into a nice bitter finish. Great brew but also a bit lazy compared to stuff like Black Hole, Dark Lord and Darkness - but its getting there. Vignale (3921) - Malmö, SWEDEN - DEC 14, 2010
En 2009:a lagrad ett år. Drucken 2010 års julölprovning. Väldigt fin och välbalanserad stout. Krämig chokladfondant, lätt rostad, lagrad lätt portvinsaktig ton av mörka torkade frukter. Cool_Bond (2727) - KUNG_AV_OL @ Instagram, SWEDEN - JAN 20, 2013
Well a really good Stout. Maybe a little weak in flavor. And even the smell was a bit weak. But good to drink with a bad aftertaste. But I give it a good rating because it was really good. Mild beer to drink.

500 ml bottle. Pours a brownish-orangeish tinted black with a thick, resilient beige head. Aroma is anise, chocolate, coffee, cinnamon. Flavor is anise, black licorice, milk chocolate, mint. Finish is some coffee bitterness, roasty notes. Lingering black licorice and fennel. Medium body, soft, creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Unexpected, but quite good! larsniclas (7152) - Billdal, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2007

Fad.
Black with creamy beige head.Taste of mild coffee and licorice note of rosted malt and dry fruits really nice stout.Must be one of the best Christmas beers in Denmark. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - DEC 16, 2007
Bottle, 50cl. Pours a black beer, with a nive firm lightbrown head. The aroma is dark malts with notes of chocolate and coffee. Flavor is roasted and has notes of smoke and chocolate. A good full body. The palate is lasting with burnt tastes. Overall a nice beer, but not very chistmaslike beer. Rates above average, a good beer.
