Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a huge creamy snow white head. Aroma of piney hops, lots of malty goodness. Taste is moderate sweet malty, rather surprised, since the aroma promised more hops, still some weak piney and resiny hops towards the end. A bit watery mouthfeel.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Bergen Storsenter. Pours a slightly hazy deep orange body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is pale malts, grassy hops, peaches and a rather large dose of buttery diacetyl. Taste is mellow, with moderate amounts of grassy hops, hints of resin and sweet flowery peach tones. However, the diacetyl spectre haunts this brew also in the flavor profile; the buttery tendency does not really suit this kind of beer. Medium mouthfeel with slightly creamy tendencies. Judging by Sigmund’s rating it could be a bad batch for Norway this time; too bad as it might have been so much better.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.8%. Deep golden colour, large white head. Aroma of butterscotch, caramel and fudge. The flavour has lots of butterscotch, probably some caramel malts but also diacetyl? Medium sweet, with moderate hops for balance. As they say the beer is "American inspired", it probably means that the hops are American, but the hops sure don’t dominate. And I doubt that American beer geeks would be very happy about the diacetyl ... Well, I for one do not get automatically hysterical when I detect butterscotch in beer, so I find Midtfyns Påskebryg quite drinkable. But as there are better beers available on the Norwegian market now, this is probably not one I’ll buy again.

Heavy notes of butter. Dark golden coloured and faint hazy. Heavy malty aroma, mostly butter and something roasted/toasted, yes, its like warm toast with melted butter.

Rating #527, bottle from Adam during Easter Brew Tasting ’11

Just a quite standard appearance, yellow, ok head. Aroma is caramel and strangely enough some chocolate too. There is hops, alcohol and yeast to accompany these two. Flavour is sweet, caramel, butter, a bit roastyness, light coffee, light bitterness. Soft and a bit thick. Not very APA-like, but nice enough.

Bottle, 6.8%. Very nice hop aroma, grassy, mango, hint of pine. Cloudy dark amber colour. Small white head. Caramelly flavour with a hint of the same hop notes as in the aroma. Mild bitterness to balance, but still a bit on the sweet side. Gets a bit alcoholic as it warms up.
