beerisgoodforu (992) - Nørresundby, DENMARK - MAY 27, 2011
Bottle @ Cafe Viking. Pours a dark blackish color with some red notes and a off white head. Aroma is filled with darkfruit and liqourice (reminds me alot of the Haribo Piratos), along with some spice, chocolate and molasses. The flavor is again very dark fruity, with raisins, rum soaked figs, molasses, chocolate, subtle spice, tobbacco notes, and the Piratos liqourice. The body is medium with a smooth mouthfeel. Overall a pretty unique brew, yet nothing outstanding. gunnfryd (14886) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 8, 2011

Bottle 500ml @ ZoneyKnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 4, 2011
Pours reddish dark brown with a off-white to tan head. Aroma has notes of licorice, malt, dried fruits and yeast. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a salty finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Musky and spicy aroma. Loads of flavour, I’m not sure if I can pick out any tobacco in this. Candy sugar, liquorice, cinnamon, whiote pepper. Fine styff, but it is not something I would drink on a regular basis. A little yeasty. mjs (7370) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 1, 2011
(Bottle, 0.5 l, at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, 20110401) The beer poured almost black. Its head was medium sized and white with brown shading. Aroma had chocolate, aniseed and fruitiness. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, aniseed, chocolate, yeast resembling Rochefort beers, fruitiness and mild bitterness. Aftertaste had maltiness, aniseed and low bitterness. Initial impression of this beer was good but then especially the taste turned quite displeasing.
larsga (7540) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 31, 2011
Medium beige-brown head. Nearly opaque black body allows only hints of
deep dark red light through. Sugary fruity bubblegum and toffee aroma
with spicy licorice and bubblegum notes. Mild, delicate, harmonic
aroma. Dry-sweet rock sugar, licorice, and fruit taste with spicy
alcoholic soy sauce notes. Mid-to-full body. Hot mouthfeel. Dry-salty
herbal licorice and soy sauce aftertaste with roasty notes. Aftertaste
ends a bit abruptly. A very good beer. The balance between the light
Belgian aspects and the heavier nature of the beer is interesting.

Tap @ Halloween beerfest, Århus. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of licorice, chocolate, fishermans friend. Taste is much like aroma with some anis in the aftertaste. Medium body, soft carbonation. Strong ( to ) sweet beer. 311010 Stefano (2007) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 14, 2011
Brown colour with a medium beige head. Roasted aroma of liquorice, snuff and salt water. Fruity taste of caramel, liquorice, dried fruits and snuff. Anis aftertaste. bax (1311) - Hasselager, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 12, 2011
(Bottle 16/2-2011) This is a really special beer with hits of Ga Jol (licorice). The 10cl taste sample was enough and I couldn’t handle an entire bottle myself.
