COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

jesperhammer (4874) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2014
29-JUL-2014, bottle @home, from Superbest. Dark Brown and dull looking, almost murky, with very lively head that dies quickly. Aroma is bread, Brown sugar, roast and licorice. Taste the same plus port wine, dried fruit. Sweet with full body and soft carbonationi. Very close to a porter with the roasted profile but way too sweet to bee. Quite complex and very nice.

0,5 l bottle Appearance: dark brown color with a 2 fingers sized beige head with good retention, that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma: cofee , herbal Taste: Roasted malts, herbal(tobacco?), earthy licorice, medium sweetness.. Finish is slight more bitter because of the roastyness, coffee tones. Medium body, average carbonation.

Dark body and medium head. Tobacco, pecans, dry brown bread. Bit of alcohol. Refined yet powerful. This paired amazingly well with my very matured Sainte Maure goats cheese. Wow! (50cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Aroma of dark roasted malts, liquorice, herbs, dried fruit, caramel, sugary. Flavour is roasty, malty, herbal, more earthy liquorice, medium sweetness is nicely balanced. The alcohol is hidden well. Good enjoyable brew.

ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 21, 2014
Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a deep brown, near-black body with a tiny white head. Nose is sweet caramel and white sugar, huge Belgian estery tones and hints of caramel, grains and banana. Taste is licorice, leather, white sugar, Belgian ale yeast and hints of caramel, leather and grains. Medium body and carbonation. Quite nice, but nothing astonishing. Wonder what the original was like.

Benzai (16569) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - MAY 15, 2014
Bottle shared with Joes and Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Very dark brown color with a slight dark red glare coming through, average sized beige head that leaves fair lacing. Not a lot of aroma but that might be because it’s a little cold. Taste malts, a hint of caramel, dark fruits, a little sweetish and a slight hint of wood somehow. Medium body and carbonation.

3.2
DutchDrebus (6136) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - MAY 15, 2014
