50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black beer with a nice beige head. Aroma is very milky, almost like butterscotch/toffee with deep roasted malts. Flavour is creamy toffee, deep roasted malts, a hint of chocolate. Earth and salt in the light bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. I love it! Draught @ SOPP, Helsinki. Black, light brown lacing head. Dry coffee nose, burned malts, little hollow. Similar softly burned flavor, mostly dry espresso. Medium bodied, a bit bland palate. Can’t really see this being 7,2% ABV, pretty dull and hollow. Grovlam (4253) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 4, 2008
