Bottled. Pretty much pitch black colour, not much head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, coffee and some oakbarrel notes. Flavour is roasted malts and very acidic sweet coffee. Quite fullbodied and nicely balanced. ontario102 (794) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 20, 2007
Sampled at Chris_O’s Shindig; Aug. 2007: Coffee, anise, whiskey aroma; roasty edge; flavor doesn’t follow; a little dry and dusty; creosote note. Pretty good overall. RoyceH (1199) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - AUG 10, 2007
Bottle, Chris_o shindig. Dark brown with beige head. Nose burned roasted malt and some sweet marshmallow candyfloss. Mouth is sweet burnt malt and fluffy with a nice sweet icing sugar side to it. Palate is sweet mallow nougat. Quite good really. harrisoni (18436) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2007
Bottle at Chris_o Shindig. Black, tan head. Toffee. Bit over carbonated. Fine, bit too much toffee, too sweet, some tingly spice on end. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - AUG 9, 2007

_o. Coffee and black currant aroma. Black color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, chocolate, coffee, light roasted. Quite full bodied.
Bottled - Chris O shindig 2007 - A black beer with a smoky roasty fishy aroma with notes of licquorice. The taste is good with roasty and smoky notes. I remember criticising their first two beers. This is a huge improvement. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2007
A Mes rate:
50cl bottle at Chris O’s Shindig. Looks as a decent stout should, black and tan. Head died rather quickly however. Sweet malty aroma with dark chocolate, wood smoke and hints of the alcohol. Flavour is similar but not quite so pleasing. Slight buttery note that it just about gets away with. Almost great but not quite. Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - JUL 27, 2007
