Aroma of liquorice, dark chocolate & cocoa. Black with long lasting beige creamy head. Medium sweetness & slightly bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body, creamy texture & soft carbonation. KoNrRiI (1512) - Århus, DENMARK - NOV 29, 2014
0.5 bottle. Pitch black color and a big, off-white head leaving a proper lacing. Aroma of grapes, wood, dark malts, fruits, hints of alcohol and herbs. Taste is bittersweet, typical roasted malts, smoke, fruits, delicate licorice, some charred wood. Full body, thick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is fruitier but also a tad bitterer. Overall a rich and a definite beer, well-balanced, tasteful, pleasant – proper craftsmanship. thewolf (12595) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2007
Bottle. Reddish pitch black colour with a medium, beautiful creamy dark beige head. Aroma has lots of cocoa - a creamy feel - like if you whipped cocoa-milk. Mouthfeel is very smooth, oily, low carbonated, creamy as well. Flavour is great. Coffee, cocoa, caramel, toffee, hops and a slight vinious edge.

Heavy dark chocolate and coffee aroma. Huge frothy, light brown head. Excellent lacing. Fully lasting longevity. Dark brown body. Heavy sweet, chocolate flavor. Medium to full palate. It is a very good beer. Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 27, 2011
0.5l bottle. This stout has a dark brown near black body with a large lasting light brown creamy head. Aroma is nice and mildly roasted with notes of chocolate and dark coffee. Also hints of salty licorice and dark caramel, combined with sweet dark fruits. Quite nice aroma! Body is a first a bit thin, but it kinda expands and gets almost creamy after a while in the mouth. Medium bodied and medium carbonation. Good roasted flavors, dark roasted malts, a nice coffee ending and a sticky caramel aftertaste - and texture. Quite alright, no wait, quite good this stout! mzaar (3463) - Varberg, SWEDEN - JAN 13, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2013 Flaska 50 cl. En mycket fin dansk! mikkellund42 (852) - DENMARK - MAY 4, 2014
Bottle. Pours brownish black with medium white head. Aroma is roasted malt, dried fruits, minty ammonium chloride, hints of licorice and ground coffee. Taste is initial thin and sweet but then it overwhelms your mouth with medium bitterness, light acid, medium sweetness and a full and rich body. Carbonation is fizzy. Finish is long and medium bitter/sweet with notes of roasted malt, gravy, beef stock, lemon, licorice, ground coffee, espresso, ammonium chloride, mint, chocolate and caramel. Good complexity and nice balance. faroeviking (10913) - FAROE ISLANDS - JAN 6, 2007
Bottle. Totally pitch black colour with an big creamy long lasting light brown head leaving nice "tracks" on the side of the glass. Bit sour and bitter aroma with chocolate, coffee, raisins and well roasted malts. Smooth, creamy, smoky flavour with a good chocolate, raisins, bitter hops, caramel. Very much THE best beer from this brewery. Nice label too. Reminds me a bit of a Wiibroe Stout.
