Sample at Nordic Brew 2014, Fredrikshavn, Denmark. Black beer with a small brownish head. Roasted licorice and dark chocolate aroma, fruity, some coffee. Roasted coffee flavor, grassy, chocolate, licorice, cocoa powder, some soot. Quite nice. Cool_Bond (2676) - KUNG_AV_OL @ Instagram, SWEDEN - AUG 16, 2015
Aroma of dark malt and light fruitiness. The flavor is sweet, slightly bitter, slightly fruity, light chocolate and some coffee taste. Good bitterness which fills the upper and front part of the mouth a weak moment. Easy to drink and not so heavy Stout. Maybe a little poor in taste but otherwise good. The color is black with beige head. Aroma is clear coffee and some caramel. Taste is light bitter, but it turns quickly into long sweet finish. You get some licorice notes after the bitter start. Coffee taste in the finish. Very nice and can be enjoyed on it’s own. LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 23, 2006
50 cl bottle - my first beer from Midtfyns Bryghus. Very nice stout with notes of cocoa, chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee. Pleasantly bitter finish. Head and palate was a bit disappointing (too low carbonation for me) but otherwise a fine stout! madsberg (11770) - Søborg, DENMARK - JAN 19, 2007
Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Light brown coloured. Vanilla, light coffee, chocolate in the aroma. Flavour has some sweetness, light roast, light alcohol, some liqourice and some light floral notes. Quite complex, but not tje full power on the flavour as I like it. Would be quite suuitable as a session beer, had the ABV been a bit lower. Is quite balanced. Is dry and roasty in the end. Absolute drinkable stout. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - MAR 4, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 5, 2007 Bottle, 50cl. Nice light-brown foam. Roasty arome, with chocolate notes. Smooth flavor with coffee and licorice. Little disapointing mouthfeel. This beer could do better with a richer body. Overall a nice smooth stout. gnoff (10482) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JUL 22, 2007
(50 cl bottle purchased in Copenhagen) Black color, brown head. Sweet, raissin and coconut scent, also some smoke. Sweet, Swedish "Julmust" and smoke taste, also coffee and roasted malt. Burnt malt and coffee beans with chocolate aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
