[Tasted at Porter-/Stouteve at Carlsens.] Nice good new beer from Eddie. Smooth and sticky licorice are the main notes for this stout which also contains the usual details of black look, offwhite head, coffeechocs and some spice. Medium body and a nice aftertaste.

500. Thanks, Maria! Pours deep dark opaque black with a thick, moussy, pudding-like head. Gorgeous sheets of irregular lace down the sides of the glass. Very sweet chocolatey nose. Other than that, pretty mild. Nice medium body with soft carb and moderate flavors--well-balanced attack. Roasty, very slightly licorice-y, chocolatey mid-palate. Very nice stuff. I love getting the chance to try stuff like this from the other side of the planet, because I know if this were widely available locally I’d drink the hell out of it. It’s a very well-made little stout, and I’m thankful I got to try it.

Small dark brown head disappears immediately. Opaque black body. Sweetish earthy licorice aroma. Deep, dense licorice and chocolate taste, sweetish, with notes of wild berries. Very harmonic. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dry, burnt chocolate aftertaste with acidic notes. Some alcohol heat. Very nice! Drinkable and interesting. (0.5l bottle.)
