Nice good new beer from Eddie. Smooth and sticky licorice are the main notes for this stout which also contains the usual details of black look, offwhite head, coffeechocs and some spice. Medium body and a nice aftertaste. fonefan (49554) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 31, 2007

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2007 Bottled at Københavnske Øldage. Black. Milky chocolate aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Butter yamlt with pleasant gentle chocolate flavoured. Somewhat burnt with lightly tarry finish. Well balanced and very good. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JUN 16, 2007
500. Thanks, Maria! Pours deep dark opaque black with a thick, moussy, pudding-like head. Gorgeous sheets of irregular lace down the sides of the glass. Very sweet chocolatey nose. Other than that, pretty mild. Nice medium body with soft carb and moderate flavors--well-balanced attack. Roasty, very slightly licorice-y, chocolatey mid-palate. Very nice stuff. I love getting the chance to try stuff like this from the other side of the planet, because I know if this were widely available locally I’d drink the hell out of it. It’s a very well-made little stout, and I’m thankful I got to try it. Furseth (2165) - Kungälv, SWEDEN - JUL 22, 2007

Bottle 500ml </br> Pours black with mahogney highlights. Aroma is roasted coffee and malts with much of the same in the taste. Medium oily texture. AirForceHops (7334) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 24, 2011
Bought this bottle in July 2011 @ Nikki’s Liquors in Providence, RI, forgotten about it until today going over my aged bottles in my basement. Tan head, some mild lace in a snifter. Medium to a nearly full body. The aroma is sweet and very roasted with notes of alcohol, wood, and dark chocolate. Flavor mirrors the nose with some liquor flavors. Some coffee bitterness and a dry finish. Overall, well-made stout. And nearly as good as the Imperial version from this brewery. olio (10372) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2012

Pours pitch black color with small beige head. Aroma of mild vegetable notes, some chocolate, sourish ripe fruits, ash, english malts and some hints of coffee. Flavor of dark berries, mild chocolate, hints of coffee and some mild vegetables. Creamy smooth palate, fruity and malty finish.
My Bottom Line:beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 2, 2013
This vanilla-laden Sweet Stout possesses some roasted coffee bean angles to add depth to a prevalent candied fruitiness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam dwindles to a veil over the darkest brown.
-Malts also offer toasted edges.
-The prevalent fruitiness is also redolent of licorice.
-Sweet coffee reaches the finish, accompanied by light roasty bitterness.
-The creamy mouthfeel, its smooth richness and soft carbonation accentuate this Stout’s sweet heart.
-Those who like Cigar City’s propensity for dessert flavors would like this a lot.
Black pour with a medium tan head. Interesting aroma of roasted malt, coacoa and fruits. Very good flavor of roasted malt that feels a bit like coffee and fruits. There’s not much of a bitterness in the end. The body is medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. This is a very well-made stout.
