TdG tasting 04/2013. - Midtfyns’ cover version of De Molen’s Vuur & vlam at the Borefts Beer Festival 2010. Bottle overdue by ca. 6m. Thanks kraddel via Norway? - disclaimer: ratee according to unfair aging of a helpless EU IPA. Stale vinous nose, little promising. Aged to extinction, hops resin or fruitiness condensated down to dusty marmelade. Various levels of cleaning agent and old sherry. Metallic mouthfeel, little to be delighted with, but hard to tell what kind of mediocre she was when still alive...

Clear orange beer, big creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, lots of chloride, exotic fruits, bit dusty, sugar, hint of marzipan. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of almonds, marzipan, bit nutty, sugar, orange peel, slightly bitter, some alcohol. Aftertaste: bitter, quite some chloride, lemon peel, bitter touch, uncooked dough, bit chemical ending.
Courtesey of Kraddel. 50 cl. bottle sampled. BBF 22/09/2012.Bright orange with white bubbles. Sweet oranges, light mold, vintage notes, aged malts and oranges, light child medicine,… Taste is bitter moldy, oranges, old caramel and toffee, light herbal, touch medicinal, overage,… Touch lighter carb. Not too bad actually for a 2.5 year old IPA. magdalar (516) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - MAR 13, 2012
Bottle at Erzbierschof. Pours a clear orange with a white head. Smells of sugar syrup, with some flowers and a hint of citrus. Tastes sweet, wth a medium bitter. Idiosynkrasie (7533) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 5, 2012
500ml bottle. Dark orangey golden colour with average frothy lacing white head. Sweet caramel malt aroma with a fruity hop note, pineapple, mandarin, honey, slightly unfresh, sultry. Taste is slightly sweet malty in the beginning, a bitter acrid hop note takes over, muggy fade-out. A failed example for an IPA.

courtesy of Toni Flükiger - cloudy amber-orange beer with a poor head retention; fresh grapefruity hoppy aroma with notes of cream, hints of mango and herbs; dusty; creamy and velvety palate, medium-bodied , quite sweet; subtle yet decently pronounced bitterness; creamy fruity and flowery hoppy finish - incoherent, not terrible and a bit disappointing TBone (17542) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 17, 2011

Slightly hazy amber color, steady off-white head. Lots of butterscotch and some smoke in the nose. Medium-bodied. Butterscotch toffeish flavor with grassy hoppyness. Something gone wrong on the way.
