Gintaro spalvos, 14 % stiprumo, persipynusio medaus apynių ir kadagio uogų aromato midus. Gaminamas iš geriausių subrandinto lietuviško medaus rūšių, fermentuojant vitaminingomis alaus mielėmis. Nokinamas ir išlaikomas rūsiuose, 10° C temperatūroje, nerūdinčio plieno statinėse metus laiko. Gerbdamas Lietuvos praeitį ir senovės lietuvių, dar žiloje senovėje gaminusių ir vartojusių midų kaip apeiginį gėrimą tradicijas, autorius Aleksandras Sinkevičius šį midų pavadino senolių – bočių vardu.

Bottle. No head. Body is clear dark yellow. Aroma is notes of honey, caramel, and alcohol, light note of cinnamon. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, flat carbonation, moderately to heavily alcoholic. Pleasant aroma, slightly richer than the 12% mead...but still too syrupy sweet to be drinkable.

Small sample bottle from lithuanian friends. Pours clear orange with no head. Like apple juice. Boozy aroma with dark fruit, honey, spices, caramel and raisins. Sweet, boozy taste at first that leads to a raisin, spice and vanilla taste.

Clear yellow color with no head as usual. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a mellow nice sweetness. Honey, flowery, some citrus and some spices in the flavor. Unusual refreshing mead. Well masked alcohol.

Small bottle from a sample pack bought in a supermarket in Druskininkai, Lithuania. Pours clear golden without any head. Sweet honey aroma with notes of dried dark fruits, spices and hints of vanilla and alcohol. Sweet, and warming with nice fruity honey flavours.

Golden honey colour, clear with no foam. Aromas of strong smell of alcohol with honey and berries. Palate, smooth and full bodied. Taste, an initial taste of alcohol which is overpowered a great honey taste. Overall, highly enjoyable would recommend.

From the bottle at Aline Leiçiai, Vilnius. Dark and moody gold. Sweeter aroma than your typical mead, but there is that telltale woody sourness at the end. Gorgeous sweet /herbal taste. The alcohol is warming but the body is a bit thin if truth be told. A joy to drink overall.

500ml bottle (Aline Lieciai, Vilnius) (8:3:7+:3+:15+=3.6+++)
Utterly beautiful honey aroma. Again, as per their Stakliskes, there’s a lovely light palate, but without the sharpness. So it’s a bit fuller and sweeter. Lovely berry-infused sweetness - more blue than red. Has a perfect Dwojniak-to-Poltorak aroma. But in the mouth it’s not quite as stunning. I’d have no problem having another sample in order to decide how much weight to give to my plus signs...

Heavy 1L mini glass-barrel. Thanks to my coworker for bringing this back from her trip to Poland.

Fajna litrowa butelka z zamknieciem Swing-top. Beczulka jak za starych dobrych czasow. Jasne zlociste pachnace swierkiem i miodem a takze runem lesnym i poziomkami.

Small coarse head doesn’t last. Clear amber body. Deep raisiny vanilla aroma with earthy sugary honey notes. Sweet alcoholic fruity raisiny taste with spicy vanilla notes. Full-bodied. Slightly hot and sharp mouthfeel, and obviously totally flat. Sweetish winter apple and alcohol aftertaste with spicy fruity notes. Very nice and highly drinkable. Harmonic and complex, if perhaps a little more alcohol and a little less body than it could have had. Like Jadwiga-lite. (0.5l ceramic bottle from Vilnius airport shop.)
