Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber beer with a small head. Strong malt aroma. Taste has initial caramel malt sweetness, developing an attractive sourness. Altogether a well-balanced beer with a medium bitter finish. sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 20, 2006

Bird, Espoo) Nutty brown color with a completely fading head. Slightly sour aroma with toffee and hints of licorice. Sourish, almost wineous, dried-fruity flavor with a dry, burned-malty and ashy finish. Dryish, light to medium-bodied, low-carbonated palate. A decent, dry and quite complex, although sparingly hopped bitter.
Cask (gravity dispense), GBBF, August 2005. Mighty Oak is the epitome of a mature British microbrewery, reliably turning out sound and well crafted brews. This is no exception. A solid session bitter in a quite traditional style. Attractive clear ginger colour. Dusty English hop character throughout with dry, but light, malt on the palate. Not hugely assertive, but well balanced. A classic drinking pint that will struggle to gain top marks with our scoring system, but does exactly what it sets out to do in an efficient and unfussy manner.

Cask condioned, GBBF 2005:
Soft texture. Quite sweet and malty flaovur. Finish is slightly harsh and not bitter enough.

Earthy floral hops, caramel and some darker malt notes in the pleasantly alluring aroma. Clear amber-copper coloured body is topped with low white head that recedes to ring. Orange-floral hops, caramel and some nutty and roasty malt flavours with fair, balanced bitterness. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Cask at GBBF 2005. kook (2033) - Perth, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA - AUG 26, 2005

On tap at GBBF 05. Light brown, with some lacing. Silky Bitter with some toffee and friendly nuttiness. Pretty good but lacks forcefulness. harrisoni (19338) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2005

Golden brown bitter. Earthy goldings subtle hop aroma. I like this with caramel malt and hop flavours in the mouth with good balanced finish. Tasty session english bitter.
