November 2016 - Cask handpull at Bootlegger, High Wycombe, as Mighty Oak Maldon Gold. Clear pale golden, still with a foamy white head. Aroma is caramel wafer, hard toffees. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is light caramel, sugary, slightly cheesy, floral hops, pale wood, light citrus. A decent enough cask ale. (3.3)

Pale amber with a slight malty nose. Gently hopped with only the faintest hint of citrus. Had a pleasant palate but really not terribly distinctive. If golden ales are your thing, then this is for you, if not try the next pump.

Cask conditioned handpump Three Cocks Kettering 17/06/13. A golden beer with a white head and lace. Citrussy hops and sweet malts in the nose. Sweet and husky malts dominate the hops in the mouth. Ends up having a rubbery feel which aint what youd expect. Good points/bad points.

Clear blond beer, small white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: bit fruity, exotic fruits, grains, little cheesy. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: grains, some citrus fruits, herbal to vegetable bitterness. Aftertaste: herbal bitterness, some citric undertone, dry ending. Not very exceptional.
