Clear dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, light chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. 
On cask at the 2012 NWAF, Manchester. Pours a black colour with a decent light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, espresso coffee and Weetabix malt.
