Cask: Special - Christmas 2011.
A dark brownish-black porter, with a rich chocolate and coffee malt flavour, a hint of sweetness and a mild traditional hop flavour. Very satisfying and moreish.

Cask (handpump) @ NWAF 2012, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.

Clear dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, light chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120119]

On cask at the 2012 NWAF, Manchester. Pours a black colour with a decent light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, espresso coffee and Weetabix malt. Similar flavours with lingering roasty malt and burnt toast. Fairly bitter with mild carbonation. OK.
