Cask (handpump) at the Cask Pub & Kitchen on 17 January 2011 - meet the brewer night, with 10 Mighty Oak beers on tap. Thought I’d rated this before so notes rather sketchy. Bright copper. Good condition. A solid best bitter with a decent balance of caramel & berry fruit tinged malt and spicy hops. Just a touch of citrus. Moderate bitterness. No complaints here but I generally prefer my session beers to be a bit more hop driven.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Low carbonation. Fruity start. Lingering bitter finish. Okay.

Cask på Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak 29 Sep 10. Mørk gyldenbrun. 0 skum. Litt tynn aroma: metallisk. Smaken er karamell med en fruktig og svakt bitter ettersmak.

Patchy surface atop of a clear amber coloured body. Mild earthy dark malts to the nose. Hop resin with semi sweet malts in flavour. A good bitter touch on the swallow. Cask, half pint at Southampton Arms, London 29 Sep 10

Cask (handpump) @ Old Fountain, 3 Baldwin Street, London, Greater London England EC1V 9NU.

Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, citrus - orange, spicy, hops, apple notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100730]

Cask at the CASK Pub & Kitchen on 28th July 2010. Crystal clear copper with thin offwhite head of foam offering full lacing. Sweet, malty aroma; caramel and berry fruits in the kick alongside some bitterness, but the meeting of the two is not harmonious. Medium to short bittersweet finish, although this lengthens and becomes drier late on. Textured, light mouthfeel.

Handpulled cask at the Wenlock Arms. Amber with a good white head. Creamy and malty with grassy hops and a dry finish.

Cask gravity at Cambridge BF 08. Copper with thin beige head. Good condition. Aroma of toffee. A little biscuity in mouth, more toffee in swallow and then a dryish herbyish hop finish. Decent best bitter, very drinkable, could see me doing a session on it. Nothing flash, not overly mlaty. Does everything well.

Cask at the Wenlock. Light floral aroma. Amber color with a lacing white head. Floral and fruity over caramel malts. Finishes nicely bitter in a floral way. Good, if not the best.

Mungo (2470) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - SEP 25, 2007
Aug 07 Cask conditioned @ Yorkshire Terrier, York. Orangey herbal hop flavours. Pleasantly malty body and tangy hop bitterness lasts well.
