A deep dark porter with a thick heavy lacing dark brown head. In aroma, oily and intense butterscotch, chocolate and light soy sauce. In moutj a good bitter chocolate with light bitterscotch, fruity esters, a bit thin. On tap at brewpub, August 6 2010. Sammy (12091) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 19, 2009
rich, winey. Black body, lace dots. A lttle chocolate in the smell, leaves a residue in aroma. SMooth mouthfeel. jercraigs (10303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 24, 2009
2009-12-21. Black body with a creamy tan head and lace that slowly fades away. 4+ Coffee-mocha roast in the aroma. Flavour is similar, roasty bitter malt, lingering bitterness. Average plus body. 3+ A pretty solid porter, but a bit more roasty than my personal preference. On tap at the brewpub JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 13, 2010
Cask at C’est What. Deep black pour with a tight creamy white head. The nose is awesome. Intensely chocolatey and rich with a light cocoa and coffee character. Intensely malty with a nice toastiness through the middle. The balance is spot on with loads of chocolate, milk chooclate and malted milk. Unctuous palate that does remind me of Founders stuff. Lingering coffee on the back. There is a little bit of off-putting yeasty flavour as it starts to warm up, but it’s very nice stuff. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 13, 2010
[2669-20091221] Tap. Roast coffee malt aroma. Black body with a medium-lasting creamy tan head. Quite roasty and charred flavour, coffee ground malt has a long-lasting aftertaste. Medium-full body is bitter. Nice, super roasty.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours a very dark brown with deep ruby hues and an average size frothy light-brown head. nice aroma of roasted malt, a good amount of hops, some coffee and chocolate. Flavour of roasted malt, light coffee, some chocolate and a touch of cream. Dry, lightly bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel, average bodied. Well done, this is a sold Porter -- I’ll be having more of this! Radek Kliber (7316) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JAN 27, 2010

Appearance: this one is dark brown with mid plus , presentable head (creamy-rocky caramel)
Nose Very well presented , dry roast in character (dark barley cleanly roasted), hint of chocolate around. Some darker shade at end .8-
Flavor/Palate : soft bodied , slightly creamy, smoky hints with dark roast that is well carried. Mellow drinkable and thirst quenching. Solid porter from DB.
Draught. At the brewpub. Near-opaque red-brown with a mottled frothy/creamy tan head. Light and dry coffee/chocolate aroma, slightly sweet, no alcohol presence at all, and just a hint of acidity. The taste delivers - mild cocoa and roast coffee bean, mid-level roast overall, dry, only slightly acidic, and thankfully no sign of syrupiness at all - not sweet or lactic, with just a hint of dry herbal bitterness; actually as much like a dark mild as anything. Light mouthfeel and body, almost too much carbonation, with a quick finish - a solid beer, not memorable, very very easy to drink. robinvboyer (4573) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 11, 2010

Aroma was nice and smokey with some great notes of chocolate. Tasted great, more of the slight smoke, and chocolate. Super smooth, and satisfying., Great porter! DougShoemaker (3147) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 1, 2010
On tap@ The Brewery.
Nose is coffee, cocoa and caramel, deepest brown, tiny toffee head. Tastes like dark chocolate cake, and dusty cocoa powder.
Light bodied, balanced, lightly bitter and drinkable. Very good.
