Draught @ the brewpub, San Diego. Aroma has sweet, grainy malt and some peaches. Flavour has grassy hops, cereal and menthol. Finishes with lingering hops and minerals. Not the most typical pale ale. And not that refreshing.

joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - JUN 7, 2015
On tap at the North Park location. It pours a pale golden color with an off white head. The aroma has some sweet cookie and light mango. Pretty intense and sweet smelling. The flavor is pretty much the same with sweet fruity hops, light caramel, toast and berries. The finish is a bit on the sweet side as well with hints a little too much caramel. Just ok.

[2/21/15] Draught at Mike Hess North Park in San Diego. Clear yellow-golden. Nice aroma of fruity hops. Rather dry flavor with fruity hops and a bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Refreshing.

brokensail (16696) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 9, 2015
On tap @ Hess North Park. Clear orange pour with white head. Really piney on the nose. A lot of grapefruit and tropical fruits like mango. Big time rye bread and pine hop character, too. Flavor is lightly malty and spicy, but the bitterness of the piney hops is quite strong and takes over. Nice juiy citrus notes of grapefruit, orange, and some lemon rind. Slight grass. Bitterness on this is quite intense...

Tap @ brewery. Nice copper orange color with a scattering of white foam. Spicy rye, pine, citrus, and pungent floral hops in the aroma. Taste clean hop bitterness with pine and citrus with spice from the rye. Clean, lightly coating mouthfeel. Excellent beer.
