I drank this on a cool Autumn evening from a long stemmed glass, like I was told to. This is a classy drop, lovely fruity, orange peel in the nose and mouth. It’s a really good one to throw around and squeeze into the roof of your mouth. The aftertaste could keep you happy for another 20 minutes. And quite the kick too. fonefan (53407) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2011

Bottle 750ml. @ SUMMER BEER FESTIVAL, Parco Rosati,via delle Tre Fontane, Roma, Italy.
Unclear medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, overriped orange, tropical fruit, butter notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. I did not like the butter in the aroma .. sorry ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle. Pours a light golden amber with decent slightly off white coloured head. Huge hop aromas. Brilliant floral citrusy hop aromas only slight balanced by light sweet caramel. Brilliant stuff. Flavours are dominated by resiny hop bitterness though its not quite as bitter as I expected. Full slightly sticky mouthfeel. Really really good beer. Yep liked this one. sdriessen (320) - Dunedin, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 28, 2010
Strong strong aroma. Big malt and massive hops. Really peachy. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 6, 2010
Smooth and full bodied. The hops are amazing - lasting and strong. I like this.
Bottle (courtesy of OStreetBrewery - thanks Kieran). You could just sniff this puppy all night long - a beautiful perfumy hop nose. One of those beers where it might be a shame to drink it as you can no longer enjoy the aroma. There’s no hiding from those hops in the mouth either - with those American citrus and pine flavours. Was a little surprised that there wasn’t more bitterness though. Found myself a supply of my own now - so looking forward to going back for seconds.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2010 750 ml bottle and
Aroma: strong floral hops and a hint of fruit (grapefruit?) and toffee - hint of muscat grapes out of tap;
Appearance: reddish brown, clear, big head and good fine lacing - hazy amber hazy with thin head out of tap;
Taste: a touch sweet, slightly sour and good hoppy bitterness - burnt, bitter and citrous sour out of tap;
Palate. Medium to full bodied, creamy texture, slightly sticky, malty and astringent finish - drier and more carbonation out of the tap.
Overall: Does not disappoint, aroma promises big taste and it is very robust. Lovely beer. Had no idea anything of this quality could come out of "Naki. : ) donfardz64 (538) - Wellington, New Zealand, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 3, 2010
On tap at Hashigo Zake. Pours golden, white head. Huge hoppy aromas, peaches and tropical fruit galore!
The massive fruitiness translates to the flavour as well, with a big rich malt base. A little syrupy - I think if it was slightly more astringent this would be my dream beer.
Definately THE hoppiest beer to be commercially released in NZ. Well done to the Mikes team and Jo.
