teddybeer (4048) - Madrid, SPAIN - SEP 3, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 4, 2017 Five years cellared
Black color, no head. Aroma has notes of molasses, dark ripe fruit, roasted malts, dark chocolate and some burnt wood. Flavor is slightly sweet, roasty, with hints of dry fruits and blackberries hints of spiced wine and black chocolate. Final with some sweetness, some alcoholic presence. One of the best Impys I've ever tasted.

KyotoLefty (10610) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 27, 2017
Bottle from 2010. Soy and umami at first whiff, chocolate syrup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, hops, smoke, booze. Black, flat. Sweet and booze, black berries, vanilla, less soy, brown sugar and raisins. Amazingly well integrated and surely better than when fresh. Drinking great.

mygeekway (198) - Grodków, POLAND - MAY 28, 2017
Pite na Urusie. W zapachu kawa i sporo wanilli, wszystko intensywne. W smaku kawa, spora paloność i wanilia. Alk za mocno grzeje w język jak na mój gust.

Manslow (1824) - Warsaw, POLAND - MAY 27, 2017

daje (4436) - NORWAY - MAY 3, 2017
Bottle, september 23rd 2016. Black body with a small brown head. Aroma is roasty with massive chocolate, licorice. Sweet and boozy taste with coffee, raisins, cocoa. Full bodied finish with a lasting alcohol and coffee aftertaste. Very nice!

Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Praliny, mleczna czekolada, ciemne owoce, sos sojowy, melasa, paloność. Pyszne.

popery (2170) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 20, 2017
330 ml bottle. The beer is black and appears thick and dense. Small brown head, a bit fizzy. Big chocolate base with lots of dark malt sweetness. Molasses, toffee, caramel, vanilla, light coconut, coffee, clean roast. Mostly sweet milk chocolate with an undercurrent of coffee roast. The taste has that same huge sweet milk chocolate up front, even more intense than expected. However, as the beer develops, roast takes over more and more. Finish has a lot of roast. Light coffee throughout. Thick mouthfeel. This is a very big beer with a lot of flavor. Roast dominates a bit too much in the finish. The intensity of the chocolate and roast in the taste both sorta overpower some of the flavor that you can find in the aroma.

jredmond (8518) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 6, 2017
Bottle via trade with rlgk (thanks Ronnie!) Pours a thick deep brown body. Nose is teriyaki and soy sauce. Mouthfeel is meaty with notes of soy sauce, sweet sugary alcohol, roots, sharp alcohol and warming on the back of the throat.

tmrmwel (2204) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 29, 2017
Bottle, enjoyed alongside the BrewDog and Nøgne Ø versions. Pours pitch black, with a creamy, mocha head. Aroma is smoked malts, with wood and coffee. Full, oily body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is nicely roasted malts, with liquorice, wood and coffee.

PhillyCraft (7739) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 22, 2017
Bottle from Dad, pours a thick black with small head. Nose of teriyaki, and soy. One of the worst beers of the night for the group. Sharp and boozy with off putting smells and flavors. Full bodied and warming.
