500 ml can into tulip glass, best before 5/4/2018. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, lime, pear, orange peel, red apple, melon, peppercorn, coriander, cracker, spicy rye, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and moderate pale/rye malt notes; with great strength. Taste of lemon, lime, pear, orange peel, red apple, melon, peppercorn, coriander, cracker, spicy rye, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate yeast/rye spiciness and herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, lime, pear, orange peel, red apple, melon, peppercorn, coriander, citrus rind, cracker, spicy rye, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and moderate pale/rye malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.9%. Overall this is an excellent grisette! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and moderate pale/rye malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink; with the moderately bitter/spicy/drying finish. Very flavorful with a nice body for the ABV. Very classic saison yeast complexity, balanced by earthy hops; with a nice pale/rye malt backbone. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

16 oz. can, shared by Logan. Pours a light, hazy, yellow color, with a big, bubbly, white head. The nose is hay, pine, rye, and some good brett character. Sweet and lightly bitter. Light body, with a fluffy, effervescent, and crisp mouthfeel. This is a subtle and flavorful beer. Nice.

BlackHaddock (8097) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2017
2nd Nov 2017. 500ml can in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Poured a misty golden yellow, decent white head. The nose had too much citrus fruitiness for me, as did the taste. Luckily there was also some sweetness and a mild spicy note or two within the flavour. Not as yeasty and farmhousey as most of the Saison's I have come across.

500ml can. The beer is cloudy and pale yellow. Small but clingy white ring of head. Nose is fruity, citrusy and yeasty. Taste is grainy, dry, lemony hops. Lively and light overall.
