A novel idea but this beer is off on several marks. The aroma is interesting but my expectations were much more citrus and floral complexity. The taste is a bit syrupy with some taste of soap. The bitterness is far from what is on the label. I have tasted more hops is many different IPAs. The taste is also a bit one dimensional. A fantastic brewer but not their best effort....

Aroma: Medium-high grapefruit, rich, Appearance: Hazy, copper body. Rocky, tan head. Fair retention. Good lacing Flavour: Medium-high smooth bitterness. Medium peach moonshine/brandy. Dry finish with lingering hear, peach and bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation, creamy. Overall: The alcohol is the strongest component - for an DIPA I would have liked it to be the hops. No off-flavours. Fair. 330 ml bottle, poured. 22A. Double IPA

Off white creamy head stayed well on an opaque, murky, soil coloured body. Much darker than I expected. Hoppy, caramel aroma & there is a faint sweeter smell but I cant put my finger on it. Very thick on the palate. Smooth to the fore with a prickly back. Caramel tastes to the front with a slightly burnt background followed by a hoppy, bitter back of pith, citrus, grapefruit, bitter lemon & hints of clove. This very much reminds me of Brewdog - Hardcore IPA. Now the 1000 IBU bit - whilst drinking it tastes like a bitter DIPA, wait a minute or so between mouthfuls & the bitterness really hits & it hits hard. Its like youve eaten a bowlful of grapefruit, lemon & lime pith with the juices of the fruit poured over. Superb DIPA - If you like your beers hoppy & bitter.

Murky dark amber beer with a rocky tan head. Intense pine, citrus, resin, grapefruit, lemon. Long bitter finish, but as as bitter as youd be led to believe. Actually very drinkable. Nice.

Brown, tea-like colour with fine-bubbled head. Intense hoppy, piny, resiny, grapefruit aroma. Distinct bitterness of a pine, resin, grapefruit character with a long bitter after taste. Wasnt that extreme as one might think, had more bitter beers, definitely worth giving a try though :)

Bottled in Beer geek club, extremely bitter, smells great but not balanced. A good one, but not my piece of cake.

On tap at csakajosor. Deep red, almost brown colour small off-white head. Nose is fruity, like a gummy bear. Taste is bitter. Lingering bitter longlasting aftertaste. Nice one for the isohumulene fans.

The aroma is full of hops, malt, caramel, passionfruit, lime, mango and pine along with some dried fruits note. The color is dark caramel. The taste is full of hops, pine, caramel, malt, passionfruit, lime, citrus, dried fruits, sugar and pineapple. Not that bitter as I expected but still a nice beer!
