Iznogud (3626) - CROATIA - AUG 5, 2016
On tap at Craft Room, Zagreb. Pours hazy orange amber with off-white head. Malty, caramel, fruity, hoppy. Sweetish. Medium bodied. Bitter dry finish. Not really a hop bomb one would expect from beers like this.

puren (982) - Starogard Gd., POLAND - AUG 1, 2016
Prezentacja:
opalizujące, ciemnozłote, bardzo obfita piana długo się utrzymuje, słabo zdobi szkło;
Aromat:
owoce tropikalne, brzoskwinia, odrobina fenoli, z czasem dochodzi nafta i kokos;
Odczucie:
ciało średnie, gładkie, średnio nasycone, o goryczkowym finiszu;
Smak:
kwaskowe cytrusy, słodkie owoce egzotyczne, gorzkawa nafta, powoli rozkręcająca się z czasem coraz silniejsza grejpfrutowo-trawiasta goryczka, bardzo długa, może nawet ciut zbyt zalegająca;
Oglnie:
ciekawe i złożone piwo, mieszanka chmieli oddaje w aromacie i smaku walory poszczeglnych odmian, jednak całość nie jest powalająca.

Can sample at a Mikkeller tasting at Beer and Beyond, Tel Aviv. Cloudy orange with beige head. The aroma has notes of citrus, tropical fruits, onion, flowers, some graininess. Bitter flavor with lots of citrus (orange, grapefruit), sweetish maltiness, grassy, piney, floral, juicy, dry. Medium-bodied.

Alengrin (5115) - BELGIUM - JUL 29, 2016
Can at the Struise shop in Bruges. Lacing, moussy, creamy, egg-white head over a hazy amberish orange blonde beer. Fragrant New World hop aroma of pink grapefruit, tangerine, biscuit, toasted onion (probably the Simcoe), mango, orange, lychee, natural iron and a touch of pine. Fruity onset of dried mango, mandarin and sweet yellow passion fruit, medium carbo, smooth biscuity and lightly bitterish toasted malt sweet middle upon which the whole structure of the nineteen hops is built, long and dryingly bitter but never harsh, much more directed towards aroma, with a lush array of citrusy, tropically fruity, floral and lightly piney aromas. Honestly, I dont see the point of cramming so many different hops in one beer (I guess this would be like making wine of nineteen different grape varieties), some of them will dominate and others will be hardly noticeable (I get very little of the normally very recognizable Sorachi Ace, for instance), but I can accept this as an ode to the new generation of fragrant hop varieties and this is by all means a very pleasant and well-crafted IPA.

Botte, pours hazy orange with a white head. Hoppy with loads of different fruity notes, orange, grapefruit, peach and lychee stand out. Light biscuit and pine notes, excellent bitterness balance with a zesty bite. Good!

Bottle in wine glass. Perfect easy-going IPA. Has an amber hue and tastes just as it looks. Nice a bit nutty/caramel base with tropical hops that reflects equally on both nose and palate.

McWorta (1601) - LUXEMBOURG - JUL 17, 2016
Orange (EBC12) opal, pillowy off white bit beige head, good lacings. Aromas offer a potpouri of a fruit salad, green pineapple, papaya, mango, passion-fruit, red berries, honey-melon, pine, hay, toffee, all a bit unbalanced. Soft perlage, light smooth, medium bodied. Light sweetness upfront, solid hoppy fruity, resinous bitterness with some astringency. Bitter-dry medium lasting finish.

March 2016 - 330ml can at home in Richmond as Mikkeller 19, 6.9%, BB Jan 2017 about 2 months old. Opaque vibrant dark brown, huge foamy off-white head, light lacing. Aroma is perfume, toffee malts, light metallics. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is toffee, pine, crisp and perfumey, straw, resin, assertive bitterness. Nicely balanced between sweet and hoppy. Quite nice. (3.5)
