Pour is a hazy amber with a huge white head. Aroma is an ok fruit melon with some honey malt. Flavor is more honey malt with some melon fruit hop. This was just o.k kind of malt heavy with a little hop presence.

ElManana (2079) - Scheldewindeke, BELGIUM - AUG 27, 2016
Draft at Beerlover’s Bar, Antwerp. Grains, malt, citrus and bitter. Leaning towards sweetish malty in the end. Pleasant.

Draught Very good fine, dense & lacey yellowish head over bright but cloudy amberish orange beer. Sweet cookies, wafflesyrup, preserved orange & rosewater. Faint oxydation, malty. Dry, bitterish, with citruspeel flavour returning; Good balance hops to malts, but it veers towards sweet. Seems very well bodied for an IPA, oily-slick. Balance - yes, but what was the idea?

Dark golden colour, with a yellowish big creamy head that holds all the while. Good lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits, resines, citrus, hops, caramel. Medium body, thick palate.Taste of oranges, tropical fruits, resines.

varanid99 (1315) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 10, 2016
Murky amber pour with a thick beige head which settles to about 1cm and persists a while. Grapefruit, orange, stone fruit and nice whack of malt, lots of fruit on the nose. Taste is dryish, lots of citrus and tropical fruit, sweet caramel, pine, resin - there’s a bit of everything in there but it works. Good bitter finish

Iznogud (4058) - CROATIA - AUG 5, 2016
On tap at Craft Room, Zagreb. Pours hazy orange amber with off-white head. Malty, caramel, fruity, hoppy. Sweetish. Medium bodied. Bitter dry finish. Not really a hop bomb one would expect from beers like this.

puren (1211) - Gdańsk, POLAND - AUG 1, 2016
Prezentacja:
opalizujące, ciemnozłote, bardzo obfita piana długo się utrzymuje, słabo zdobi szkło;
Aromat:
owoce tropikalne, brzoskwinia, odrobina fenoli, z czasem dochodzi nafta i kokos;
Odczucie:
ciało średnie, gładkie, średnio nasycone, o goryczkowym finiszu;
Smak:
kwaskowe cytrusy, słodkie owoce egzotyczne, gorzkawa nafta, powoli rozkręcająca się z czasem coraz silniejsza grejpfrutowo-trawiasta goryczka, bardzo długa, może nawet ciut zbyt zalegająca;
Ogólnie:
ciekawe i złożone piwo, mieszanka chmieli oddaje w aromacie i smaku walory poszczególnych odmian, jednak całość nie jest powalająca.

Can sample at a Mikkeller tasting at Beer and Beyond, Tel Aviv. Cloudy orange with beige head. The aroma has notes of citrus, tropical fruits, onion, flowers, some graininess. Bitter flavor with lots of citrus (orange, grapefruit), sweetish maltiness, grassy, piney, floral, juicy, dry. Medium-bodied.

Alengrin (5629) - BELGIUM - JUL 29, 2016
Can at the Struise shop in Bruges. Lacing, moussy, creamy, egg-white head over a hazy amberish orange blonde beer. Fragrant New World hop aroma of pink grapefruit, tangerine, biscuit, toasted onion (probably the Simcoe), mango, orange, lychee, ’natural’ iron and a touch of pine. Fruity onset of dried mango, mandarin and sweet yellow passion fruit, medium carbo, smooth biscuity and lightly bitterish toasted malt sweet middle upon which the whole structure of the nineteen hops is built, long and dryingly bitter but never harsh, much more directed towards aroma, with a lush array of citrusy, tropically fruity, floral and lightly piney aromas. Honestly, I don’t see the point of cramming so many different hops in one beer (I guess this would be like making wine of nineteen different grape varieties), some of them will dominate and others will be hardly noticeable (I get very little of the normally very recognizable Sorachi Ace, for instance), but I can accept this as an ode to the new generation of fragrant hop varieties and this is by all means a very pleasant and well-crafted IPA.
