Thanks to Papsoe for this beer.
It pours black with a generous tan head. The aroma is of whisky with some chocolate. The flavor is strongly of whisky, along with roasted notes and chocolate. It finishes with a big alcohol warming. All in all, a bit over the top for me, but definitely a must have for whisk(e)y lovers stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - FEB 4, 2012
Pours a pitch black beer with a chocolate head. The aroma is malt, roasted, chocolate, vanilla and wood. The flavor follows the nose with additional alcohol. The palate is roasted with sweetness and alcoholwarmth. Overall a good beer with a high level of alcohol. sfhodense (4789) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - JAN 13, 2012

Jet black motor oil pour. Small dark brown head. Intense aroma of burnt, scorched malts, wood and burnt soy. The burnt ingredient theme is quite prevalent in this beer. Quite smoky, and the peat comes through. Good body, light carb. Intense bitterness and quite a bit of heat from the alcohol.
Better than the islay and cognac. Geiserich (4496) - Linz, AUSTRIA - OCT 2, 2011
Bottle: Aroma is full of molasse, coffe, alcohol, vanilla, whiskey, chocolate and sugar. Black color, frothy, brown head. Flavor is very intensive, sweet, candies, chocolate, coffee, alcohol. Also whisky and barrel notes. Roasty with notes of burnt malts and bitter hops. Complex, intensive and strong. Slams intensively. Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - SEP 23, 2011
from Erzbierschof.ch - colour of a black hole with a dark beige foam löeft and a nice lacework; very roasted coffeish aroma with metallic notes, hazelnuts, vanilla as well as whisky and woody notes below; very thick and full-bodied, sticky and hugely bitter; very tasty; very long bitter roasted finish with notes of coffee, ashes, metal and licorice; very dry and with strong notes of warming alcohol - extreme stuff!
