Backlog, Bottle, pours a deep black with coffee head. Smell and taste are heavy bourbon, char, chocolate, espresso bean, wood, and vanilla bean. This one def stings at the 19 percent. A small pour was more than enough.

Sampled from 0.375 l bottle. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and vanilla. tfredvik (2008) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 28, 2016
Pours a very viscous-looking close to black body with a tiny, short-lived head. Sweet and intense aroma of dark roasted malt, dark caramel, chocolate, coffee, bourbon and liquorice. Intense flavour of alcohol, dark roasted malt, dark caramel, chocolate and coffee. Moderate to heavy sweet taste with a fairly heavy bitter and long-lasting finish. Full body, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice brew, but would it have been even better if the ABV had been lower?

Malty, roasted, vinous taste with strong black coffee, liquorice, soy sauce, tar, bourbon, vanilla, lots of wood and a strong, vinous finish with a generous coffee bitterness. Full body (or rather massive), with a certain sweetness. Massive stout with lots of bourbon and oak and a fair amount of warming alcohol. Not very subtle, but very nice stuff.
