@ Gyllenbock: Stor doft, tung och mustig. Komplex smak med stora rostade toner och en liten egen touch. mycket gott gyllenbock (9328) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 23, 2012
Black with a small tan head. What a suprise this one. Much tastier than expected. Vinous and complex with a lot of things going on both in the aroma and taste. I need another bottle. Once again an excellent Imperial Stout from Mikkeller.

Bottle at Amundsen, april 2012. Black body, low beige head. Thinner than expected. Aroma of roasted malt, tar, licorice. Taste of coffee, chocolate, black malt and raisins. Nicely balanced, but could use a little more bitterness in my opinion. sfhodense (4788) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2012
Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, liquorish, alcohol and coffee. Flavour is roasted malt, sweet notes, chocolate, alcohol and liquorish. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - AUG 28, 2012
Pours a pitch black beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, roasted, licorice and vinous. The flavor follows the nose with additional honey. The palate is sweetness and roasted. Overall a good beer.

Bottle from Euston Tap. Black with a minimal head. Complex nose: marcipane, vanilla, chocolate, hints of coffee. Surprisingly sweet and alcoholic, almost port wine-ish, fruity, with vanilla notes. Full-bodied. High class night cap. Theydon_Bois (19808) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2012
Poured at home from a bottle into a snifter glass (Dec ’11).
Very dark, black in colour, no head at all.
Smells molasses, port/wine, chocolate, toffee, biscuit, sweet/sugary smelling.
Tasted a little flat, no lacing as such, no head but did portray a wine like character in terms of ’legs’ clinging to the glass !
Flavours pretty much matched the smell, quite a sweet beer, a little to so for my liking but that didn’t detract from enjoying it.
Chocolate, toffee, again a wine or port flavour, slightly spiced, coffee, maybe vanilla in the background.
Sticky and full bodied on the palate. Christian (13685) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 5, 2012
Odense Catching Up on Stuff Left in the Cellar Event July 2012. Jet black with a small, light brown head. Aroma of licorice and dark sugar, a touch of fruit, and vineous alcohol. Sweet licorice flavour with quite a bit of sugary character, and a slightly roasted finish jbeatty (1253) - New York, USA - JUL 2, 2012
Bottle, thanks to jeffo. 07/02/2012. Pours black, no head at all. Thick aroma- dark chocolate and smooth roast espresso, a bit of dark fruity sweetness, light licorice and char. Taste is dark chocolate syrup drizzled fruit, dark roast that can’t quite balance the sweetness, little boozy in the finish. Medium body probably a bit lighter than I’d like for these flavors. Alright, but probably not one of Mikkeller’s top stouts. Leighton (21513) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2012
Bottle on the Eurostar heading to Brussels for Paul’s pre-wedding beer blow-out. Thanks to James for this one. Pours jet black with a creamy, tan head. Dark and roasty, boozy chocolate nose. Very sweet flavor, lots of candied sugar, burnt sugar, dark fruits, alcohol, roasted malts and burnt wood. Full bodied with average carbonation - and very creamy. Hot finish with sweet chocolate, medium roast, some earth, peat, dark sugar, light bitterness. Pretty damn solid. Very sweet with nice, mild and lasting roasty cocoa bitterness.
