Bottle… The lid comes off with little to no resistance and no hiss. Hmmm? Pours still and black with no head. The nose is a mélange of anise, black licorice and blackstrap molasses. Full-bodied and silky, but as flat as a pancake. The flavor leans way sweet – lots of molasses and black licorice – and is, unfortunately, buffered by the lack of any carbonation. I don’t mind sweet, molasses or licorice, but this is a bit much. The relatively high ABV is not all that evident. Finishes with a slow fading of the flavor. Bottle courtesy of Plovmand!
