Bottle @ mikkeller bar. Black body, no head. Aroma is liquorice, coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, dark fruit. Flavour is chocolate, raisin, roasted malt, woody notes, coffee, brown sugar. Unfortunately it’s quite flat. Defreni (3334) - Husum, DENMARK - FEB 10, 2012
Chokolade, svesker, mild salt-lakrids, ristede malt-noter, rosiner i rom. Ekstrem fyldig, nærmest cremet i munden.
(Bottle) Pours super black with almost no head. The aroma is really citrusy hoppy and burned coffee roasted with vinous undertones of madeira and raisins. Whisper of tar, light smoke, wet tobacco and cigar smoke. The flavor is heavily sweet, light to medium bitter and tiny acidic. Tones of citrus, sucralose, sweet liquorice, bit vinous, coffee, alcohol and light smoke. The mouthfeel is round and sticky with light carbonation. Lingering, super bitter and burned finish. Medium to full bodied. Benjii (3050) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 17, 2012
In bottle. Pours a very dark brown colour with a thin light tan head. Aroma of burnt toast, roasty malt and a little liquorice. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Quite sweet and a little dry with lingering Weetabix malt and caramel.

Black pour. Small tan head that quickly dies down to a thin layer of bubbles and leaves a little bit of lacing behind. Smells of alcohol and a bit of chocolate. Mostly alcohol. Tastes of coffee and chocolate. Molasses as well. Some vanilla. Some alcohol. A little hot and thinner than I expected. Decent beer. Pours extreme black with a good sized brown head. Aroma is coffee, burnt sugar, vanilla, wood, hops. Mouthfeel is creamy and slight oily. Taste is coffee, molasses, licorice, dates and a hint of dark chocolate. Reminiscent of a strong, syrupy sweet coffee. TheJester (2543) - Cavan Monaghan, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 12, 2011
330 mL bottle from Plovmand. Black, with not much head. Not much of a pop when this one opened, and the carbonation was very low, so I wonder if there was a problem with bottling. The beer was very fine, however, with roast, cocoa, maraschino cherries, and a hint of booze. Great body. Thanks, Thomas. tmrmwel (2340) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 22, 2013
Bottle. Pours pitch black without any head at all. Aroma is sweet with roasted malts and chocolate, as well as a whiff or two of tobacco. Full and creamy body, with no apparent carbonation. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts, grain, some dark fruits and molasses, as well as sugar and tobacco. Good brew, but no mind-blowing experience. Yorker (2151) - Holstebro, DENMARK - NOV 10, 2012
