Draught. Red copper colour. Small off-white head. Vinous peppery hops. Spicy bittering hops. Oily, but body is light. Balanced beer. Low carbonation level. Sharp peppery finish. yngwie (17234) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 9, 2011
On tap at Mikkeller Bar. An unclear, reddish golden beer with a minimal sized off-white head. Intense piney and resiny hop aroma. Some malty sweetness and caramel hints. Sweet, malty flavor with a touch of caramel. Resiny, piney hops and a good dose of bitterness. Full-bodied, sticky and warming on the palate. Bitter, resiny and piney finish. A nice beer indeed, but too sweet I think, even considering the ABV. 110526 Ontbeertaster (3208) - Ontario, CANADA - SEP 28, 2011
Tap at beer temple in amsterdam. aroma was very nice, overall it was quite faint in hops in the flavour, I would have liked a bit more hop flavour, overall there was some citrus. Pretty good offering larsniclas (7217) - Billdal, SWEDEN - SEP 27, 2011

Hazy deep amber. White head.
Extremely fruity and sweaty aroma.
Sweet, creamy and oily flavour with citrus; tropical fruits. Svesse (8803) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 9, 2011
(Draught at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 23 July 2011) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, grapefruit, orange peel and lots of fresh piney hops. Malty, fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, pine needles, caramel and impressive amounts of piney, citric hops in a long, bitter finish. All backed up by a generous and solid malt structure. Fairly sweet. Alcohol well hidden beneath layers of hops. Very complex and surprisingly well balanced. Lovely beer! Quite impressive!

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagenthepeter (326) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2011
Cloudy dark amber color; small head. The aroma is an explosion of fruits (apricots, mango, tangerine, plums and more), with a cheesy component (mind: cheese rind, mold, cheese cellar). The body is well constructed and round; there is a strong flavor of toffee, enough residual sweetness, hop fruitiness, but also some cheese that here is less desirable (melted cheese); expected hop resins, and bitter oranges. In the final also the alcohol is perceived, but just as mouth warmer. So in the end it’s quite chaotic, but still a powerful brew, and a good one.
Poured at the Cask & Kitchen
Hazy Copper, dense, off white head that stayed with the beer the whole way through.
Very Floral on the nose, tropical Fruits, pineapple in particular, not so much a pine smell but a hint of being in the woods though, with a whiff of alcohol at the end.
Taste is fantastic! So well balanced, the hops shine through much more in the taste bringing a clean crisp bitterness to the sweetness that I described in the aroma. One of the most perfect IIPA’s out there. The Alcohol is present a bit at the end but not really for an 11% beer. Clean not too sticky after taste.
Perfect carbonation and a medium body. Almost comparable to a cask conditioned beer in that respect.
Overall, a fantastic beer! Absolutely one of my favourite IIPA’s all time. gunnfryd (15287) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 3, 2011
