Tap at Craft Beer Co Brighton. It pours jet black, with a thin tan head. The nose is roasted malt, rich coffee and dark chocolate. The taste is rich-roast coffee, roasted malt, charcoal, slight acidity (I assume this is coming from the coffee itself) and dark fruit, with a very dry, roasty finish. Keg @ CBC. Deep brown with a tiny tight tan head. The nose is strong espresso, milk chocolate, a chocolate factory on fire. Chocolate muffins. The taste is dark roasted coffee, light chocolate with deep roasted notes, some smoke. Hints of blackberry. The body’s light and quite dry. The beer’s easy to drink. Overall, really nice. Pours all black with a small, film head, beige head. Aroma has coffee, dark chocolate, lightly vinious, mild roasted malts. Medium to low carbonation, lovely dry and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has a good load of coffee, deep roasted malts, dark chocolate. Very malty bitter. Really elagant, well-composed and super drinkable.
Pitch black with a medium tan head. Malty with fruity notes. Malt, fruit, chocolate and coffee. Full body with a nice, balanced finish.
