På fad til ølfestivalen. Sort med et lyst brunt skum med bobler. Den er godt ristet med masser af kaffe, tørrede frugter, lakrids og godt med alkohol. Varmer godt og godt humlet i eftersmagen. Godt karboneret. joergen (28991) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 19, 2008
Darught at EBF 2008.
Pitch black (darker than coal) with a medium sized beige head.
Roasted aroma of coffee, liquorice and alcohol.
Sweet and roasted flavour of coffee with notes of dried fruits, liquorice, chocolate and alcohol.
Dry roasted and warming alcoholic finish. FatPhil (16953) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 19, 2008
Draught (EBF2008) - thanks someone!Skinnyviking (9674) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 18, 2008
Pitch black, tiny head. Great hoppy aroma. Well-balanced burnt malty taste. Loads of hops and super-tasty. Does hint towards its strength, but forgivably so. (I can’t think of many apart from Black Albert which would be both stronger and subtler, TBH.)
Bottle. High creamy lasting and good looking dark brown head. No light coming through this pitch black body. Powerful coffee choccolate aroma with a good deal of alcohol, not too much though, a good deal of hops, vanilla and woody notes as well. High carbonation, strong coffee choccolate alcohol flavor with long lasting hops bitterness. Would not have guessed the alcohol percentage but it does feel a bit too strong in the flavor. charlotte (5416) - rødovre, DENMARK - SEP 18, 2008

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2010 Draught at EBF 2008. Black colour with a small beige head and some lacing. Powerful aroma and taste of licorice, sweet chocolate and mildly roasted with a bitter finish. Medium to full palate. Grovlam (4252) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 18, 2008
[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Average brown creamy head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Pitch black color. Aroma of oak, vanilla, berries, coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. Quite full bodied with an average carbonation and thick mild dry alcoholic texture. Heavy bitter and sweet flavor in balance. Lingering roasted malt and floral hoppy finish. Tap @ EBF, 2008, Carlsberg.
Pours completely black with a small, brown, film head. Aroma is sweet, has coffee and wood, lightly tart fruit and quite vinious. Okay mouthfeel, just a tad too high in carbonation, never letting the beer settle well. Flavour is weird, sweet, some saltiness and very medicinic wood. Not very good - incredibly unbalanced.
